What's new

2020 Presidential election

No man, it's just not going to happen. If it was one of them would have declared by now. Feel free to hold me to this twelve months from now.

There's no reason to declare right now. None of them really want to do it but at least one of them will.

I consider Warren the frontrunner. Biden is sputtering, Sanders has stalled and Harris is faltering. The other candidates are all extreme long shots.

Well I won't be voting for a Democrat then.
It's not happening, I don't know why he's so fixated on some latecomer entering the race. Michelle is on the record multiple times talking about how much she hated being in the whitehouse, and the idea that Bloomberg would get any kind of support from democrats is laughable.

Oprah has name recognition, sure, but who among the current candidates would she pilfer supporters from? Maybe as a populist candidate she could garner some support, but she would have had to declare months ago to build a coalition capable of winning the nomination. And in any case I don't get the impression the democrats would be terribly interested in supporting a TV personality with no record of public service, considering who she'd be running against.

It's pure fantasy.

I think Harris has a legit shot.

But if I were betting I’d put money on a Biden Harris ticket.

Additional candidates like Oprah would have to already have serious ground games going on in states like Iowa and California as the primary election in those states will be away in just a few months.

Does anyone have any evidence that Oprah has a functioning campaign in Iowa or California?

Just to reemphasize something you already said, in order for Oprah to run as a Democrat, she has to win the party’s nomination. But in order to win the party’s nomination she has to win the most votes, not from the general public, BUT FROM DEMOCRATS.

I don’t think posters proclaiming her success are fully understanding this. She’s not running for general election. Before she can even do that She needs to run for the party’s nomination.

So as you said, which candidates’ supporters is she going to pilfer from? Certainly not enough from anyone in the top 4. Especially if she doesn’t even have a functioning campaign in the states with early primary voting. Even if she somehow managed to gain support, votes will have already been cast.

Oprah doesn’t have a prayer cuz math and time matter. Oh, and because she hasn’t even declared.

It’s difficult to win if you never even declare to run
