What's new

The official "let's impeach Trump" thread

I commented after opening a thread that had like 8-9 Heath-whatever posts that were all just copy and paste garbage from hard-right political sites. I asked how much time a day he spends consuming propaganda. I've also criticised him for just coming here to barf it all up in our faces like he's some kind of political mommy bird. He provides almost none of his own insight, displays no critical thought or understanding and mocks using other people's jokes.

I have my issues with Thriller, but Thriller is posting his own content more than 90% of the time. That's value added to the discussions he's in. It couldn't be further from what Heath does.

Just cut and paste like I do.

Exactly. It's not that hard to look and see what the President is tweeting about.

Political Science and History are my things. It's what I do for my profession. You can do it too if you want. So yes, I'm passionate about it. I like writing about these subjects.

Besides, look at the GD forum. The number of political threads far outnumber anything else. Also, it's the offseason. Football and Basketball haven't started yet.

I'm just curious why some of you complaining haven't put me on ignore? If you don't want to interact with me, that's fine. I will respect you and won't interact with you either. Put me on ignore if you find my posts to be annoying. The world is a beautiful place. Go outside and enjoy your wife and kids. No need to get depressed over anything I write.

I don't think I ever called heathmes mental state into question. I believe I commended his dedication to spamming threads.

Heathme is a troll. None of his posts are based on anything factual. Those complaining about me seem to have issues with me either as a person or disagree with me politically. I've asked them before to refute my posts with factual evidence. They'd rather just insult instead.

This goes back a few years. Even when Obama was first elected many of these folks were arguing with me about how he wasn't born here, how Obamacare had death panels, the clear use of debt as a scare tactic to chip away at New Deal programs, etc. So a big part comes from past political disagreements. Often, people got emotional when you didn’t agree with them that Obama was a Kenyan Nazi socialist who wanted to confiscate their guns.

We can have disagreements politically without being disagreeable as long we agree to keep things based in the world of factual evidence. Heathme and others don't seem to have that ability. So comparing them to me is just laughable.

@Heathme is afraid. He clearly lacks the capacity to do what thriller does.

A federal employee turned over “credible” evidence to House Democrats of possible “inappropriate efforts to influence” the IRS presidential audit process, House lawyers said in a court filing Tuesday.

In July, House Ways and Means Chairman Richard Neal, D-Mass., sued Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin after the latter rejected the panel’s request for six years of Trump’s tax returns. On Tuesday, House lawyers cited the new evidence in a motion asking a federal judge to rule without trial that the Treasury Department is required by law to turn over the president’s tax returns.

The motion included a letter from Neal to Mnuchin revealing that the committee in July received an “unsolicited communication” from a federal employee “setting forth credible allegations of ‘evidence of possible misconduct’ — specifically, potential ‘inappropriate efforts to influence’ the mandatory audit program,” Politico reported.

In a response two weeks later, Mnuchin rejected Neal’s request for records related to the matter and urged him to take it up with the IRS inspector general.

House lawyers said in the motion Tuesday that the new evidence has heightened the need for the committee to receive Trump’s tax returns. The IRS is required to audit the president and vice president each year. Democrats argue that the new evidence requires them to see Trump’s tax returns to ensure the IRS audit process is legitimate.

“The Committee needs the requested information to evaluate the integrity of the IRS’s existing program for auditing Presidents’ tax returns — a need only heightened by the Committee’s receipt of whistleblower allegations about improper influence in that program,” the attorneys said.

Ordered?

I mean he already thinks he's the second coming of God and King of Israel, so I guess this isn't a stretch.

Still though, you'd think our free market loving Trump supporters would take issue with this.

This is a tweet she sent out before the 2016 election, right?

No wait... she's doing it again?

She ought to just rerun her content from several years ago and take a vacation from screeching.

Nice try. Polls showed nothing like this in 2006.

Socialists tell capitalists what to do all the time.

Socialists tax the hell out of consumers all the time with tariffs.

Gotta love TrumpSocialism.

Ya got me there. Madcow wasn't even on MSNBC in 2006. But ever since she has been she's taken every piece of news, slanted it as if the entire world was going to tip over, and then blown the analysis out of proportion to a degree that boggles the mind.

I typo'd that, meant to be 2016 when she was around. The polls are quite different. I rarely watch Maddow (I'm cable free and only catch cable news when I'm traveling). Maddow is and will always be highly biased. But she does a nice job of drawing attention to Trump's many foibles.

"Madcow" really? Come on, dude, don't stoop down to POTUS-level elementary school insults, you're better than that.

It's not really socialism, it is the kind of authoritarian behavior seen in dictatorships around the world, and across ideological spectrums.

Funny thing, you look at the numbers after she posted that and he suddenly was above water in like 5 of the states she posted and all the other states took a huge turn in Trump's direction as well.

Hey guys can we please stop talking about trump acting like an authoritarian and messing with world markets? There are posters on this website who have delicate eyes

Interesting. Was it the same poll? Please shoot me a link, thanks.

That's just stupid. Authoritarians wield real power. Authoritarians would have already built the wall. And repealed Obamacare. This guy is more Don Knotts from "The Gang Who Can't Shoot Straight" and less Mussolini. He is figuratively impotent. Literally, well, he has his washed up porn stars.

That said, he definitely is a Socialist, but that is a different story altogether.
