Stupid Pet Peeves

Man I wish we had a solid public transportation system here. Germany was great, got on the train at 7:30 every day, in the office at 8:15. Sometimes worked, sometimes slept, sometimes just daydreamed. Was cool. Enjoyed that much more than the days I had to drive for various reasons. Although taking my Mercedes up to 120 on the open stretch on the Autobahn was decent catharsis.

The autobahn was crazy fun, 230ks in a little VW, best fun you can have with your pants on.

I'm not sure why, maybe because I never used the term other than to make fun of people who did, but recently the plethora of people using the construct of "...not!" to show disdain is very irritating. "This show is great...NOT!" I can just see the dude, smug grin on his face as his cheeto stained fingers verily fly over the keyboard, sticking it to other posters with this vicious slam, the "...NOT!"s just flying from his keyboard. I saw this once or twice a few years ago and thought, good hell that guy's an idiot. But now it seems to be making a true come back. Just stop. I mean, it is a fantastic way to stop an argument in it's tracks...NOT!

I think that's amazing.

My amazing uber driver took the long route to the station ignoring my directions. Amazingly i missed the train by a minute and paid for the privilege of standing on the platform for half an hour. Amazing!!!

That Donovan Mitchell's "Spida" nickname has turned into Spider Man marketing.

Spida =/= Spider Man

ha ha, reminds me of one of my favorite typos, though I haven't noticed it lately

it' snot

ANYHOW, my latest pet peeve are folks who just can't stay anywhere near their own lane when they make turns, especially when they're going a wee bit fast - - and you're sitting in your lane and a car practically runs into you as it makes a really wide turn

NEXT peeve are all the DELIVERY TRUCKS - - I live in a very congested suburb, so driving anywhere seems much more hazardous than it should be - - and one day there were THREE FedEx trucks within 20 yards of one intersection. And when one left, a UPS truck promptly pulled up to take its place. Plus, due to parked cars, there is no place for them to pull over so they just sit in a lane of "traffic"

People who say good grief.
