The Caravan

Thats a bit dramatic, they were blocking the way, he drove in the road, they moved, then they threw a hissy fit, and they were god awful at chanting so they deserved it.

really? That’s what you got from that? cmon, at least pretend to be a little honest here.

Well I dont believe he assaulted them so I don't think charges should be warranted. Was he being kind of a dick? Sure. But until we start prosecuting all the dicks he should be fine. Maybe a write up from his bosses might be in order at most.

Well, he did knock over two protestors with his truck. Both were taken to the hospital that night following the incident.

I would have just moved out of the way.

The way I'm reading this, Woodward drove into protestors(not slowly), many of which got out of the way. But other protestors came in, and Woodward went through anyway, injuring two. No matter how you look at it, that's some form of assault. Even at the basic "pedestrians always have the right of way", he's further in the wrong than anyone in that crowd.

Other guards came out and maced the **** out of the protestors. I can actually understand this part, as trying to control an otherwise uncontrollable situation just boils down to a quick judgement. Someone made the call, and had support that you'd want your coworkers to show in a potentially violent and fatal situation. That's not to say it was the right call. I'm on the fence with that.

But after all this, the guy felt like he was in the wrong, and resigned over it.

What am I missing here? What makes what this guy did wholly excusable?

Like I said, he was being a dick head, but I dont think he did anything that rose to the level of criminality. I think he should have been written up, suspended by his bosses or even possibly let go. BUT, I didn't see anything that was criminal. I'm guessing, a legitimate guess mind you, that those that went to the hospital and were "injured" really had no reason to go to the hospital other than to be dramatic. I could be wrong, I'd have to see medical reports on that to be confident in my opinion.

That being said, I'm of the mindset, "act like an dumbass get treated like a dumbass". And no I am not a Trumper, I despise deporting non criminals, and I think a lot if not most of what ICE is doing is despicable.

Just don't like when someone starts some **** and then acts like a victim.

Like you said... you don't know. You don't know if they were "injured" or injured. You don't know that Woodward wasn't intending to strike people with his vehicle. But you do know, or at least should, that hitting a pedestrian is still a crime.

Kind of, if its an adult human person purposefully getting in the way of a moving vehicle than F em. They can get hit. I know thats not how the law is interpreted but thats my feelings on the subject.

After watching the video for the 50th time, I still think the protesters look like the assholes.

I agree with your first paragraph.
Imo cars should have the right of way.

If I ever get hit by a car then it's my own fault. Unless the car leaves the road to to hit me.
I don't trust crosswalks or lights at intersections. I cross the road when there is enough space for me to cross without getting hit. And I hustle.

Um no. You don’t get to run human beings over because you feel like it. Disgusting that you even said that.

These protestors were protesting against the inhumane conditions and child separation policy at these concentration camps. They’re not assholes just because you disagree with them.
