That is not good. Culpepper completely sucks. You would have been better off keeping Jarret Brown. (Who was not good at all even as 3rd string btw.)

Have some faith in Kaep. That dude is a maniac playmaker. I figure they'll give Smith a half year to see if he can pull it out, if / when he doesn't, in comes the Kaeper.

Watch out for the Lions this year - If Stafford stays healthly he will be good and has weapons around him. Losing their Rookie RB for the year hurts, but they have talent. Their Defense will be much improved with Fairly and Suh in the middle as well.

Yall should just play Kaeper from the get go, go 0-16, then draft Luck.

Well the workout has already taken place. Reports are now coming out that "sources" believe the 49ers are going to sign Culpepper to a 1 year deal. The idea is that he will be the 3rd string QB, and not compete for the starting job.

That means you just wasted a pick on Kaeper.....

Stick with Smith - give him this year to see if he has any glimmer of light.. if not you have Kaeper as your QB to throw in next year.

The Niners have too many holes to use another high draft pick on a QB. Why draft Colin if you don't think he is your QB of the future.

Kaeper is not going to be a quality starting NFL QB. Luck on the other hand has the potential to be a top QB.
 
I don't think the 9ers are bad enough to win the Suck4Luck sweepstakes. They might be in the running for Barkley though.

Being indecisive with your QBs is a great way to sabotage the season, however. Maybe Harbaugh is tanking for his boy.
 
Landry Jones will be the next 49ers QB...because that's just the way they roll.
 
I still don't understand how you guys don't think that the 9'ers are seeing Kaeper as the QB of the future. They used a high draft pick on him with the intentions of having him as their starter down the road. If they didn't and are positioning themselves in the Luck sweepstakes then there is no way they would have went QB and stuck with what they had last year.

Yeah you would think that they saw something in him to spend a 2nd round pick on but to relate it to a team I know, the Phins drafted Pat White in the 2nd round the year after drafting Henne in the 2nd round before evening knowing anything about Henne (Pennington was the starter) and White's out of the league didn't even last 2 full seasons.
