The official "let's impeach Trump" thread

It gets less surprising when you consider that Trumpers are idiots by definition

I'd say 50% of them are totally uneducated ****ing idiots, 25% of them think Trump is helping them even though he's screwing them(that goes for the first 1/2 too), and another 25% are actually being helped either directly or indirectly. I might be off on that last percentage.

Ummm upholding the constitution absolutely should be a zero sum game. How do you excuse or compromise when Trump is shredding the constitution as he is?

where have all the Tulsi bots gone?

btw, she tried to warn us:

but as usual, many of you couldn’t let go of your Clinton hate to see that she was right. Why is she doing this if not plotting a 3rd party spoiler role? Who ultimately benefits by exploiting on distrust of America’s political parties and institutions? Why vote “present” if you’re not running 3rd party? Again, she warned us...

Tulsi is a great example of a politician who speaks a lot without saying anything. Her vote on impeachment was meant to do one thing--get people to talk about Tulsi Gabbard.

Of course. Just like the 3rd party candidate she wants to be. She cares more about promoting herself than she does about principles or party ideology.

I'll disagree. I think promoting a position that results in children dying of a disease is worse than anything NPC D4617 has posted.
Not true. My position is that people should exercise caution with regard to vaccines, but people here distorted what I said and took it out of context. And I specifically focused on measles and flu vaccines having possible issues.

It keeps surprising me that conservatives seem to believe that a Democrat will be in office if Trump is removed, and that this is the motivation behind the impeachment proceedings.
I literally have not heard a single person say this. Where are you hearing it?

An extremely rare bit of good news regarding Trump supporters defecting. Let's hope it's just the start.

Dem's should run with him saying that Dingell is in hell. It might have some traction.

I’m also hoping LouderMilk’s “Christ was treated better than Trump” testimony turned some Christians off too. Could you imagine the backlash if a Democrat said the same about Hillary or Obama?

"Last week, the Trump administration kicked over 700,000 people off of their food stamps just weeks before the holidays. Now, they’re proposing $738 billion in defense spending."

Thus remarked Congressman Ro Khanna, one of the few voices in power in Washington and in the U.S. corporate media that shatter the common pretense that war is free and everything else too expensive.

Earlier this month, House Armed Services Committee Chairman Adam Smith called the worst and biggest military spending bill we've seen "progressive." Ro Khanna stood up in Congress, surrounded by his colleagues, and called that language "Orwellian."

Khanna pointed out that the military budget being voted on was $120 billion larger than it had been just three years earlier. "That could fund free public college for every American," Khanna noted.

Congressman Khanna also effectively refuted the ridiculous notion that by spending more on wars you'll somehow end up with fewer wars, denouncing the spending and the "endless wars" thereby generated. Khanna insisted that we must hold Congress accountable for the current wars as long as it continues funding them.

Did you not read the headline about the impeachment being about keeping Trump from appointing the next supreme court judge? Just one example. But in listening to family members and coworkers, that seems to be a point that they forget - that Pence would be the president, not Clinton or Pelosi.

The Democrats are trying to undo the election! Amiright?

It is a core republican value that no Supreme Court justice should be confirmed in the year before a presidential election. They should be chosen by the next president. Let the people decide who should pick the next SCOTUS judge.

No, but they’re running a losing campaign that will get Trump re-elected, by focusing the campaign on vigorously attacking Trump and pushing establishment candidates. Thanks Dems!

Sorry, @JazzGal, in case it's clear--by that I mean that I've read/heard similar comments by some Republicans that you have, which indicate that they don't understand impeachment at all. Hopefully it's a small minority but who knows.

Actually, their establishment candidates do great against Trump in head-to-head polls. It's their ultra-liberal candidates which, if nominated, may lead to Trump getting a second term.

That was bad when the Republicans did it then, and would be equally bad if the Democrats were to do it now.
