Dante scores 28 pts on 11-13(4-4 3pt) in 24 min

That's good to hear.
But do you agree he needs to live at the free throw line? Or do you think that the 'successful' version of Exum would look something like this?

I have seen a couple of Cavs games since the trade. Between Sexton, Garland and Porter Jnr, their are a lot of empty possessions. Porter Jnr has a pretty sweet handle though. Would love to think Exum gets a go as the medium term combo starting guard.

Absolutely mate. This wasn’t exactly replicable. I still think that once he’s had a bunch more minutes and gets rolling that he can feast at the free throw line. To my eye he’s only just starting to get a little of his speed back so this game was super important to be able to shoot the 3 without hesitation and be aggressive

Good for him. I was the flag carrier for the Dante h8rs club while he was in Utah. He sucked ***. But sometimes people just need a reset. Let’s not be assholes about it. I’d be happy for Dante if he turned out to be a really good player. It also might be a helpful learning for the Jazz FO to take a look at itself and ask why he didn’t work here.

Well spoken dude. I saw him play a pre season game in person in his rookie year and he didn’t look scared or hesitant, looked like he had a natural feel for the game. I think he’s a guy who doesn’t benefit from overanalysis during the game, a player who’s much better just going with the flow, unlike Donovan or someone like LeBron who think their way through a game. I think it was far more just a case of bad fit and bad timing. And while I’m not blaming Quin at all I just don’t think his style of micromanagement suits all players Dante’s really good games game in summer league where he looked like a different player playing under a different coach. I’m sure Quin would be the first one to be happy for him if he kicks on. Dante raved about Quin when he was back gone here in the off season

28 on a crappy team where they just hand him the ball and say have fun. Gee wiz, he must be Jordan now or something.

And they continued till Cleveland was up 1.

yep. Which I think happens on a bi-weekly basis with us. We’ll often go up big, fall asleep, and let some no name player have a big night to bring their crappy lottery bound team back. It’s the NBA. Dante had a nice game against an awful team.

Let’s see what Dante does for more than just a handful of games. Keep in mind, Clarkson has scored more in one week against playoff teams than Dante has for the entire season.

I'm happy for the guy and always knew he could be special. Quin ****ed him.

He actually scored his 28 in 20 minutes.

Dante has the potential to be a good player in the league. Never understand why Quin wouldn't play him or guys like @NUMBERICA would says he's just not any good.

I've never seen anyone glide like him so effortlessly on the defensive end.

I hope he has a great career and stays healthy.

Exum has a lot of Joe Ingles moves - specifically the layups where they don't jump and lure the defender to sleep.

Lol at the overreaction on this board after one good game. Any average player who’s been in the league long enough has had their night. But hey good for him.
