I’m just saying, people don’t vote for utah jazz players. Proof of that is Caruso has more votes, and he isn’t better than anyone on the list in the east. It doesn’t change the fact that Utah players in Utah are basically ignored.

Are you even aware of what argument you’re making? Someone said Donovan would be a starter in the East, then you said he wouldn’t because Caruso has more votes. I mentioned he wouldn’t be going up against Caruso, and now you say Utah is ignored.

You may want to orient yourself.

I think the chances of him winning Finals MVP are considerably higher than him winning league MVP. Might want to look into that bet instead.

When he moves East who knows where Caruso will be? Maybe they both go to NY and make a power team and take all the votes.

When is the last time the MVP wasn't a starter?
 
Fans vote for the flashy players that do the 'ohhh' and 'ahhh' highlight reel moves so no, Rudy ain't gettin' that All star mvp if he makes it.

Donovan is more built for that honestly and he has more of shot than Rudy.
 
I have no idea why a Jazz fan would want Rudy or DM to make the all star team. At least until their contract year. I want them to feel jilted as hell. I want Rudy, especially, to be a nasty, pissed off, bad *** mutha ****er that wants revenge every single night.

I think the notion that it's good to deny players their well deserved accolades and recognition so that they play with a chip on their shoulder is WAY WAY WAY off the mark.

Especially for our players on this small market team, we need to fight for them to get the recognition they deserve. In many cases recognition, awards, accolades, etc. converts directly into money in their pocket that doesn't necessarily come out of the team's budget. It also shows them that they can live their NBA dream right here and don't need to run to LA or NYC or Boston or Chicago to get the full "I'm an NBA star" life.

If these guys need All Star snubs to motivate them there is something wrong.

The reason I don't want them to play in the ASG is because I don't want any chance of them getting injured in a game that doesn't help the Jazz get to the championships.

And I believe the original poster was saying that the East is so depleted of talent that he’d get voted in as a starter. Caruso got votes because he’s an LA meme. To say Donovan could be a starter in the East is not an exaggeration, and “Utah not getting respect” is absolutely irrelevant in that scenario.
