What's new

Conley is a chemistry problem and we should trade him

how so? ja is pretty much leading this same "terrible team" to a 24-24 record now. i'd say it's clearly related. if he's really that good and grizz wanted to tank, they wouldn't have played conley the way they did last season.
Ja is also good. All stats back up he played well, the team did not. It's pretty simple.

12/0/1/0/0 5 of the 12 pts were free throws.
There’s still time....

To trade him
Also remember he didn’t want to come here last year and that cost us more then his greed got him here but didn’t bring his heart. That’s why he cried like a baby in the first Memphis game and played like crap. Trade him before we cant

yep, and him playing well is related to his team not playing well. pretty simple

conley is(or WAS) a good player. but he's just not as good as most made him out to be

I agree, it’s time to make the right move before it’s too late.

Jazz-Clippers Trade?
Supposedly Clips may be interested in Chris Paul, but if that fails Conley could be concession and at lower price tag for this season and next.
Utah Trades Conley for Patrick Beverly, Moe Harkless and a fill-in like Patrick Patterson.

I think it's fair to say that Conley is doing harm by taking the ball out of Joe's hands. Joe generates offense and assists in Quin's system better than Mike Conley.

Mike Conley had 1 assist tonight, to go with zero rebounds and zero steals in 21 mins.

Of the guys we have who play with the ball in their hands -- Mitchell, Ingles and Clarkson -- Conley sure looks to be the least productive.

Could we trade Conley for Favors? Who else could we add to get the numbers to work?

We CANNOT trade for Favors at all period. We can't trade our full team for Favors, our arena, the food, literally anything for Favors the entire year

I'll have to watch it some more, but it seems to me we put the ball in Conley's hands and very little happens as a result of it. The ball doesn't move. He doesn't create shots for himself or others. We must be using him entirely wrong or something.

Ed Davis gave more effort tonight. Ed Davis.

Yeah, but Ed is a guy who plays with effort. That's pretty much his thing.

Right now, Conley is a $32M backup point guard. He plays 20 mins per night. I don't see that changing given how important Joe's shooting and Royce's defense are to our starting lineup.

Nah, he is not taking the ball from Joe. Joe still gets to run pick n' roll a lot with Rudy. As of now, Conley mostly stays in the corner while Ingles runs the play with Rudy (Clarkson or Royce on the opposite side). Conley also looks for Bojan mismatches a lot (tonight against Mills, Forbes)

He should have 3 or 4 assists at least. He had a pretty good right handed skip pass to Niang on the left corner that he missed (1st Q,3:16 left). He also found Joe on the left corner but Rudy was called for a 3 sec violation before Joe was able to score (1st Q, 5:07). Bojan missed two really good looks: one from the top of the arc after a Conley hand-off and the other in the second half on a fastbreak from the right side. He also had a good entry pass to Joe for a layup that didn't count as an assist in the first half (was surprised they didn't count it).
