What's new

I'm no longer a Snyder fan.

How is it a tough argument? There is no other argument I can think of unless you just think Snyder has a personal vendetta against these players.

And idk how Niang isn't what the 2nd unit needs. Does the team not need 40% 3pt shooting floor spacers? The only problem with the 2nd unit is the center position. Brantley can't play the 5 and they must think that Morgan can't either.

Because there are guys that ride the pine for more experience players all the time even though they might be better options. Its not a vendetta he just knows what to expect with Niang and is more comfortable than the unknown. Its risk averse.

Niang's shooting is great... but when you run small guards on the perimeter and don't have a rim protecting center then the defense becomes a bigger issue. That group needs more defense, length, and athleticism. It doesn't have to be Niang, but that group needs a frontcourt shakeup.

You also don't know what guys can truly offer by watching in practice (I'm not sure how much they even practice or run scrimmages where you could judge that). We should try it... it might fail... that's okay... when you fail differently you learn.

Please name me the ****ing coach who pulls their best offensive player for a Bench scorer in crunch time.

I wasn't talking about taking Gobert out, but Ok, I will. Greg Popovic.

I can think of plenty more examples like this too. No player is bigger than winning or the team.

Dude Niang sucks, I hope you come to terms with it sooner than later

I should clarify my Quin should be more open to adjusting comment. I don’t think pulling Donovan would at all be the right call. I just don’t like Donovan’s minute structure in his current rotation. I feel like it doesn’t let him get settled in and get a good feel for the game. I don’t like how his minutes are currently distributed.

The Unicorn isn't the Mavs best player, but here's an example of a championship level coach benching a star player at the end of the game because he was playing bad. This example is from a few months ago.

You keep calling everyone dumb as **** yet you're defending a decision that clearly lead to a loss. Even with hindsight, you're still to stubborn to admit a change was needed.

Yeah, we dumb though.

This is more how I feel too.

I also don't like Conley and Mitchell together

Hes got Tony Jones syndrome.

Quins in a tough position. Mike is playing individually well at this point, but him being back in the lineup changes some things. Joe seems uncomfortable in the role of bystander, and quite honestly Joe has been our best point guard. When he plays point guard it helps him and the team. He doesn’t play that role with Mike. On the other hand, you traded a lot to get Mike and he’s being paid over $30 million a year so you have to see how you can make this work with him. He has to be out there.
Sunk cost fallacy claims another victim.

I love Quin, I think he's been a great coach for the most part. The one weakness I see however is that his record against above .500 teams is bad, I've always chalked this up to a lack of talent. I expected this to change this season after we made so many offseason moves to add more talent but once again we're struggling against good teams, we're currently 9-15 against +.500 teams.

I'm shocked by how much love he gets on this board. He's an awful rebounder and defender, and he's a one-trick pony. I don't feel comfortable with him doing ANYTHING outside of spot up 3's.

I wouldn't mind if he was paired with Gobert and 2 freaky athletic wings to offset his shortcomings on the boards and D. Until we get more athleticism to pair him with, he shouldn't see the floor period. I cringe when we have those unathletic lineups of Bogey, Bradley, Conley, and Niang.

That’s because Quin has to do a song and dance to try to get Conley to fit.

One trick pony sums him up. Nothing against him and he seems like a cool and likable dude but...

He's lucky to be in the league, let alone be a rotation guy on a playoff team in the west. I don't get it.

I don't understand why so many people like Niang...whenever I watch him play, especially when I'm at the arena, he just isn't that good. He doesn't make good plays, he's a bad defender and often bricks open 3s

Hypothetically we can beat any team in the league doe. The fact that we don't doesn't matter.

How many of us here can make 4/10 from the 3? That's good enough for a roster spot on the Jazz currently.
