Buyout Options

Anyone here 6 foot 6+? The Jazz are looking for you!
What makes you think they’re looking for anyone?

This will be like 2017 when we were in dire need of a backup center and backup point guard and Bogut and DWill hit the waiver wire and we passed on it so we can “give time to Dante” [aka Shelvin] and Boris. Then Gobert went down for like 4 games in the playoffs and played hobbled vs. Golden State.

Yeah, they probably aren't. I can't wait until we play the Lakers again.

Who guards Lebron, AD, and Dwight? LOL

That's the issue... you listen to Locke and he's like "problems... its like 10 minutes a night and TB is fine... not even worth upgrading... and they are working really hard... offensive rebound rate, win share PAC% says he's just really average"

First step to fixing a problem is realizing you have one... we aren't there.

At very least maybe lets put Brantley out there with him... not a shooter I get it but he will try to get rebounds and try on defense. I just watched PJ Dozier and Tory Craig have a good effect on a basketball game by giving a **** and trying. Put a guy out there who is playing for his basketball life.

But nah... Niang and TB are fine... I wonder if we have an excuse machine in the front office... deadline passes pull the lever... lands on "there were only a couple guys we liked so we didn't make a move" that's a great one for trade deadlines and not buying picks... as well as selling your own picks. Pulls lever again "we were aggressive on the market but didn't have stuff teams wanted". Pulls lever again... "just ask yourself questions and answer those questions... use big words and platitudes throw due diligence out a few times... make up some **** about hand pads or balance beams... those internet doods love that"

It sure looks like the Jazz are all in on Conley, either he is gonna hit, or we go down swinging because they feel like he is our only out. I hope they do something else as well, but that sure looks like the plan.

It seems to me is that we need a 4-5 that can rebound a little and a 2-3 that can knockdown a long range shot to come off the bench. I propose the Jazz give Brantley and JWF first crack and if that doesn't work scan the waiver wire.

For what it's worth, conley has had 2 games with +20 scoring. Both were pathetic losses but... it's the best we have seen from him to date.

Conley's playing better but Joe, Donovan, Rudy and O'Neale are all playing worse since he's come back. I hope they can get it figured out but so far he just hasn't been a good fit with this team at all.

Or allow one of the Stars players to bubble up. The Stars have 7 players with more rebounds per game than our 2nd leading rebounder. I know it's way lower competition but this shouldn't be rocket science.

Kyle O'Quinn is an option... he will eventually get bought out... supposedly upset they didn't do it today. I like him in the past... he's been not great last couple years, but was in some stacked frontcourts and didn't get consistent run. He's huge and a "don't **** with me" guy... so there's that.

NBA Draft blogboi favorite Jonah Bolden was waived. Sixers fans not too sad to see him go, but some still think a good organization can turn him into a serviceable player. He fouls enough to make Marquese Chriss blush (10.3 PF per 36 minutes) and apparently hasn't improved since his rookie year. But he's like 6'11" and can theoretically space the floor. You could do worse in the buyout market.

Bolden is an Aussie. It would be someone for JIngles to drink Fosters with.
