Dragan Bender on Waivers

Dude was the No 4 player in the draft and kicked to the curb by the Suns. Now the Bucks have concurred in that assessment.

His stats for the Bucks G-League team are pretty much in line with Rayjon Tucker's, taking into account their different positions.

Here's what I thought when I watched a recent G-League game of his (one where he had good, strong stats):

a) he no longer looks as much like a deer-in-the-headlights player as with Phoenix. His BBIQ and on-court comfort level seemed better (though of course this is G-League).

b) he still has very little toughness and doesn't offer much rim protection, despite his size. If Jazz picked him up, I'd expect it's as a developmental flyer, not with expectations of regular play/production.

I'd much rather have Udoh, if the concern is for the stretch run this year, and I'm not one who's convinced that Udoh offers much more overall than we already have (though I know Udoh would provide defensive skill that could come in handy on occasion).

Maybe the dude will pan out for someone as he ages. His shooting percentages have improved. But we don't need another bench player who stinks on defense.

His ability to do that is one of the main reasons he was drafted as high as he was.

Is this accurate? I know he could play the 4 or 5 but his switchability is good? I’ve admittedly never seen him play but he looks big and like he’d semi-lumber and not be that quick.

Lol, never seen him play, he says, but has concerns based on how he looks. ****ing idiot takes, man.
