I see the Cancer brothers Jaden McDaniels and Isiah Stewart are 26 and 29. They lead their college team to a last place finish in the Pac 12.

If this happened, I'd bet Utah would be on the phone trying to get Okoro.

There are a lot of good PG prospects available in the 2nd round if Utah was looking to bolster it's bench.

That mock is team needs included and Okoro is actually a good bit higher on my big board, him and Josh Green actually take the biggest hit their vs my bigboard..

I know no one else has Wiseman going #1 but for now I dont really feel like its much of a reach.. I kinda feel like if Wiseman had his full season he'd be #1 easily.

lmfao, Okoro isnt dropping out of the lottery, much less all the way to 19.

Jazz also have practically no ability to trade up unless they want to trade future picks, which would be moronic.

Ringer mock had us taking Precious. Which I am fine with.
That would be cool. I'd prefer Precious lands in a spot with a real center like Utah, I think it'll be good for his game.

He's really interesting in a "can he save us a roster/depth chart spot?" sense. He's sorta like Anunoby but actually even more likely to be able to hold down a backup C type of role if needed.

See OKC running Gallinari at C? Precious could hold down the C spot against him no problems.

We are MUCH more likely to move back than forward imo. Like if we can turn the 1st and Ed into a rotation player and a second we do it.

I think picks in the top 10 could move more than normal this year, but I don't see the asset we have that we'd be willing to part with.

I don't think that's true at all. Jazz don't even have much of a place for another rotation player unless they are trading Bogey. Only position that could really use a replacement is Tony Bradley, and there is no way in hell the Jazz are trading the pick just to get a backup center.

I expect the Jazz to keep the pick and use it. Only way I see them trading up is if they deal Bogey to move up to get a late lottery pick + bench rotation player. I doubt that happens though.

We are gonna be close to the tax once we extend JC... IF we use MLE then we are all up in the tax. I think we could use the pick to get a high second rounder this year and more seconds next year or to get a second and unload Ed's deal. The cap difference of $1.7M will be meaningful in avoiding the tax.

They may have someone they really like though... they might be convinced that they should roll with TB and that they can fill the rotation player need with Morgan, Oni, Brantley on the cheap. I just think its more likely we move back with the assets we currently have.

Do u have to use MLE on Clarkson if we have bird rights?

No... but if you re-sign JC and use the MLE we are going to be a luxury tax team... I don't think we cross that line this year.

If we can get off of Ed's salary it gets easier. I think TB could be moved for space if we wanted too as well. I think DL would have a hard time moving Tony thought.

Jazz could stay at #23, draft Bolmaro and let him develop with FC Barcelona another year. There might not even be much of a G-league next year.

I certainly think the Jazz need a starting SF/PF which depends on if you think Bogie is a SF or PF. He has played both. Joe and Royce would be great coming off the bench and when the match ups require can get more minutes but I believe the Jazz need to improve either at SF/PF. Last night they staggered Conley and DW and Clarkson. All three played together. Scoring wise that is a tough group. Our Bench Conley, Clarkson, Joe, Royce, TB/Morgan - You could have Joe run the PG when Conley is out and play TB/Morgan/Brantley if he is ready. Quin could mix and match. I am for drafting the best player. I am hoping the best player is a PF or a SF.

Whenever the subject of the draft is brought up to Tony Jones he focuses on the idea that the Jazz could use a wing. Just thought that it's relevant to our discussion here.

I would bet we trade this pick. Either for a future pick or for someone that can help now in our window.
