In all honesty, no (and yes).Everyone keeps saying TV Market this.. TV Market that.
Let me ask this question...
Is the Boise TV market that much worse than Missouri's, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Washington State, Oregon State, Arizona, ect?
Let's take a look at population:
Boise, Idaho: The Boise metropolitan area is home to about 616,500 people.

Columbia, Missouri: Columbia Metropolitan Area, a region of 164,283 residents.

Oxford Mississippi: As of the 2010 US Census, the population is 14,147.

Starkville, Mississippi: The population was 23,888 at the 2010 census.

Pullman, Washington: 29,799 according to the 2010 census.

Corvallis, Oregon: As of the 2010 United States Census, the population was 54,462.

Tuscon, Arizona: The 2010 United States Census puts the city's population at 520,116 [2] with a metropolitan area population at 1,020,200.

While the populations don't compare (with the exception of U of A), that isn't giving us 100% of the story. I would wager that the other universities have big followings in other bigger cities they are near-ish. For example: Ole Miss probably has followers in St. Louis, Washington State in Seattle, Oregon State in Portland, etc. There is really nothing close to Boise. The closest big city is probably Salt Lake which already has the Utes and Cougars.
I'm not saying Boise isn't a viable option for the Big 12. It wouldn't surprise me to see them join up either.
