What's new

"Quin Snyder, may I introduce you to Miye Oni? He is on your roster and available to play."

Developing players is a big reason why Quin got the job. Plus... the heroine... Its very odd that he doesn't give them blow.

Teams that develop youth get rewarded. Just look at Miami in 2019 who let 2 rookies develop (one undrafted) and ultimately they now make up a big part of the core of the Eastern conf champions.

Play the guys if only for a few energy minutes.

Quin Thibses his team and it shows...

Gobert played... got cooked. Guess he isn't our best rim defender.
I was kidding a bit... also yea Rudy got cooked in this game but we have years of evidence he is good. I was more making fun of the front office saying he’s our best perimeter defender.

Yesterday he sure as **** wasn't. Looked completely lost and bored. **** them all for the "effort" these millionaire man-children put into that game.

The difference is Miami strikes gold and we end up with Niang.
No we don't end up with Niang. We invest in and reward Niang instead of taking the risk on someone who could be better. It's a ****ing CHOICE to stick with the ineffective, but lovable underdog, players.

I get the selection bias. However, it is the coaches job to spot talent and then to develop players they drafted. Minutes are an important part of development.

Quin was hired as a development coach. He seems to have stopped developing players to the point he can trust them on the court.

He is still developing Niang. He can only take on one guy at a time, and only if that guy is a borderline GL player with a single marketable skill and zero abilities any other way. You cannot rush the master.

Some very good minutes tonight for Oni. He needs to be in the rotation as a perimeter defender.

Hi Log! Hope you’re doing okay.
I’m genuinely curious, is being this supremely negative part of a new schtick for you, or is that just who you are now? I’m not here often, but when I am, I think I see you bitching in every thread. Hope you’re alright.

Seeing Jazz fans on twitter saying Oni should get Royce's or Joes spot in the rotation once Joe is back from injury. So stupid and yet so predictable. Lol

It’s stupid, but here’s what I find more stupid:

We were continually sold Exum as being part of a huge master plan, with indispensable value, from official and unofficial surrogate channels, supported largely by 5 minutes against Harden. And we did that for years.

Official and unofficial surrogates have no leg to stand on to talk about bringing down the temperature on Oni hype.
