I've gone back and forth on this and I do think you're right, at least in the short term, it seems more than likely we're going to see some horrible stuff in the next few months - but I question "Trumpism" as a long term movement simply because we're 10+ years in since the "birther movement" and where are the other super popular "Trumps?" Donald Trump is an amalgamation of so many different things to many different people that it will be impossible to mass produce him like evangelicals or Tea Party pukes.

I have no reason to be over optimistic, these people aren't just going to go away - but most cults die when they cut the head off the snake.

The narrative seems like it would not have momentum for too long if it’s based on fundamental falsehoods. It has to have that going against it in the long run. But it points to a real problem in showing how relatively easy it is to create a cult that can instill “insane” movements into the political arena. It’s been damaging. I guess it remains to be seen how damaging.

Last night a couple older folks at my work, sitting at different tables than each other, had a conversation loud enough for anyone in the break room to hear. I'll refer to them as Q Female "QF" and T Male "TM"...

QF: "I just feel bad for the children." Seeming to refer to the children being abducted, sexually assaulted and killed by liberals, AKA the QAnon conspiracy.
TM: "Yeah, I do too" Said somberly
QF: "We need to have a revolution"
TM: "Oh, I think there is gonna be 'unrest'"

They continued to gripe along those lines but I turned my audio book up and tried to stop listening.

Thing is, I listen to this talk and I want to tell them that they don't want a revolution. I know they think they have all the guns. They don't. They are also all 50+ years old (I know not "all" of them are, but whatever). This is not a fight they can win.

A Trump revolution would be more deadly to old folks than the corona virus.

The Trumpers who are capable of switching and listening to something like this are the ones who switched over during his term. They still might be conservatives and republicans but could not go on any longer supporting Trump because of the lies and delusions.

Those that are still Trumpers and think they election was stolen aren't going to listen and probably never will (the vast majority at least.) It's hardly worth the time.

I never said I cared he was treated differently than others. That's a lame accusation, nor is it what I feel or think.

Saying he's a terrorist and **** that guy doesn't mean that I think he should be charged with more crimes than a white person who committed the same crimes. That's an absurd conclusion you're drawing.

So, basically, you made same bogus claim this guy was being treated unfairly because he's black and you've still yet to provide any factual information that he was.

This breaks down how the more serious charges tend to trickle down and be added later into the investigation process. He's certainly not singled out with his charges nor am I able to find any sources that show Sullivan was charged with the more serious offenses first.
