January 26 2021: Should The Jazz Even Be Allowed To Play The Knicks?

Ho hum, another team gets scheduled to play us - this time it was the team with the second best record in the entire league - and we murderlize them. Just look below at the final score. (For you troubled with math, 105 - 75 = 30. Yup, we slaughtered the second best team in te league by 30 points.)

Which brings us to January 26, 2021. I see the NBA has scheduled the Utah Jazz to play against us. My question: should the Jazz even be allowed to be on the same court as us and play us? Would you allow a seven year old girl's softball team to play the mighty 1927 NY Yankees? Of course not. So why on Earth do the Jazz get an opportunity to play the awesome Knicks? Heck, we destroyed and humiliated the Jazz just two weeks ago. Why should you get a rematch? You are not in the same league as the Knicks. Do you really want another beatdown?

The Jazz should be playing Division II junior college teams, not the almighty Knicks. I am writing a letter to Commissioner Adam Silver demanding that he schedule the Lakers or Nets against us and not the Jazz. My Knicks want to play ball against real teams! The Jazz are a waste of our time.

I'm guessing that Covid has not changed your life at all.

Dude we get it... everyone else is playing for second place. No one likes someone who flaunts their embarrassment of riches in front of others. When the Jazz play the Knicks it is just like a scrimmage where the varsity team plays the Freshmen just to let them know how far they have to come.

Dude we get it...

No, you Jazz fans don't get it. The Knicks will humiliate the Jazz again. Two times in just two weeks!

We are great. Just today the Knicks demolished the Orlando Magic. A team known for Hall Of Famers Penny Hardaway and Shaq couldn't beat us, what chance does Conley and Niang have against us? The Jazz vs. Knicks game should not be allowed.

The Jazz will start Oni and Niang and the Knicks won't stand a chance.

I have sent the following letter to Commissioner Adam Silver:

Dear Adam,

Hello. My name is MeloTheJazzKiller and because I am from New York, I know basketball. I understand that all sports commissioners want parity in their leagues, but I must point out that the NBA does not have parity. The NBA has a few elite teams (Lakers, Nets, Clippers, and the Knicks) and the rest are bottom feeders (the Pistons, Timberwolves, the Jazz).

On January 26 the bottom feeder Jazz are scheduled to play the elite Knicks. No basketball fan on Earth wants to see this. The Knicks already slaughtered the Jazz this year. The bottom-feeder Jazz do not deserve to be on the same court as an elite team like the Knicks.

Basketball fans demand that on January 26 you schedule the Knicks vs the Lakers and schedule the Jazz vs. Oswego Community College.

Signed,
Melo The Jazz Killer

PS: Zion Williamson and Donovan Mitchell should be playing for the Knicks. See what you can do about that.

Jazz last nine games:

Warriors
Pelicans
Pelicans
Nuggets
Hawks
Cavs
Pistons
Bucks
Knicks

Hmmm, one of those games is not like the other. Can you guess?

Face it, as long as you don't play the Knicks you Jazz look like a team. But play us.....humiliated. It will happen again tomorrow.

Yup, it took losing to the lowly Knicks to snap us out of our funk. You and every member of the Knicks can take solace that even though you just had a 5-game losing streak and are currently ranked 20th in the NBA power rankings, you made a tiny contribution toward our 2021 NBA title run.

the lowly Knicks

The lowly Knicks? I guess you were in suspended animation the past month. I'll fill you in on some details you missed:
- Biden sworn in as new President on January 20.
- Knicks beat the Holy Hell out of the Jazz on January 6.

Believe it, you don't want to play us tomorrow. You should send your letters to Adam Silver now. Get him to cancel the game. We will slaughter you again.

Let's set aside the fan-boy hyperbole for a moment. Julius Randle is the best player in the NBA right now. Leading candidate for league MVP by a mile. How the hell are you going to stop him?

I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve.

What they miss in the wiki article is that this is actually attributable to Tom Thibodeau, at half-time of the game on the 26th of January, 2021. It is so impactful that the quote went back through time and impacted the psyche of even Napoleon as he did not realize he was quoting Thibs. True story.

Never change. :)

According to this, he is the 16th most impactful player in the NBA according to this particular stat:

And according to this, he is "leading" his team to a losing record:

And according to this Randle isn't even in the top 10 of MVP candidates this season:

You should have kept Kanter. He is performing better than Randle. Kanter PER - 25.5 (#14); Randle PER - 20.6 (#37). And Kanter has lead his team to a better record than the Knicks.

Nah, I see you don't know history. Though the quote is wrongly attributed to Nikita Khrushchev, it was actually Coach Thibodeau who is famous for this quote which he said before both games against the Jazz:

Uhh, you really don't see the irony in that statement?
No irony.

Jazz, record 12-4, don't need him at all. Better without him.

Knicks, record 8-12, LOSING HARD in an easy eastern conference, need Kanter BAD, especially with Randle stinking it up. Don't cry though, Thibs is a good coach and your defense is getting better. You might be just6-8 games under .500 by the end of the season, and in the east that will be good enough for an 8th seed.

8th seed? Spoken like a true bottom feeder. No wonder why the Jazz have never won a Championship, you folks are happy with eighth seed. Knick fans spit on eighth seed. My Knicks are aiming for not one, not two, not three, not four, not five....we are looking at multiple championships.
