Mitchell injury

And, for the record, I project very weak odds of us holding onto the #1 seed. Maybe somewhere in the 30% range.
I think if we can grab the next two games then our odds are looking pretty good. But grabbing the next two games is, you know, not looking very good.

A big reason why we’ve been running ahead of the conference was because of our lack of injuries and games missed due to Covid protocols. I guess we might be seeing who we are relative to the rest of the conference once we begin to be more similarly afflicted.

There’s been so much noise in the results this year. It’s been fun to drink the koolaid..... But I hate looking like a naive fanboy, and this team is sorta doing that to me right now. Maybe I’m overreacting.... but I would not put money on us beating the Clippers in the second round (I’d obviously root for it, but I’m not putting real money on that matchup), so I don’t think it’s much of an over-reaction. A second-round exit would be such a *fart-sound* result to the season.

And then we field a less talented team next year, so yeah?

What’s the silver-lining in a 2nd round matchup against a full-strength Clippers team? Tia.
The silver lining remains the same.
A fresher Donovan mitchell against a full strength clippers team is preferable to a run down less fresh Donovan against a full strength clippers team.

-Most of all I worry about the extra mileage this is going to put on Mike Conley, who's already had the hamstring stuff this season which could easily flare up. And Ingles is going to carry a bigger load now, and with his age and history it seems like he really excels the most when his minutes are kept a bit lower. We want both of these guys fresh for the playoffs. In fact, it might be worth dealing with a few losses if it means some extended rest for them.

WELP.

That’s pretty ****ed up. Nate needs his capital-E Entertainment, doe.

And your desire on this issue doesn’t acknowledge how the game has changed.

Please stop being dumb.
Well I miss the days when gladiators would fight to the death. Those guys gave it their all. That's real dedication!! Not this pansy *** everybody gets a participation trophy BS that everyone loves nowadays.

It all started when they started forcing kids to wear helmets when all they wanted to do was ride their bike and have some fun and potentially get a life altering brain injury. But no, they had to take all the fun and brain injuries away. Throwing out the baby with the bathwater I tell ya.

I wonder if the injury is that bad or if this is an opportunity for rest. I'm sure that no time would have been missed if we were in the playoffs.
