His pod was good. They are in trouble... we stick to our strategy. If they had Ibaka the switching 5 out might work better. Would have a rim protector still. I think they have to play big to have a chance tbh... I think they adjust a bit but Rudy will have a big game this go around.
It's strange because they were getting killed by Luka switching on Zubac wern't they- I get that Luka is bigger than Don, but certainly Don and Rudy can have success here too??

True, but Kawhi had a lot of time on the clock, and I was a bit surprised the pair of them just decided on deferring to Morris instead of taking a step back, get a screen and make something happen. PG13 had a bit less to work with, I guess.
Again, defensive pressure makes these a lot tougher decisions under a short clock.

I think they may have to abandon switching and top lock with a big dropping.

Anyone else hate these 8:15pm - 8:20pm tipoffs? Totally destroys my sleep especially on nailbiters like the other night.
I love it. Then again I work late into the night so I'm used to staying up late and don't have to get up really early

It certainly looks like, from the past 2 seasons of playoffs, that the Clipper switching scheme isn't as strong in reality as it looks on paper. Playoff teams are always going to have that guy who can hunt the weak link (Dallas had 1, we probably have more.). Also, I'm not sure the Clips have the energy to keep it up for 48 minutes. Tuesday's game looks a lot different if we even hit 30% during that 0-21 streak. They energy required of the Clippers to keep up increases even more.

If Zubac is on Don, who is on Rudy? It won't be Kawhi if he wishes to avoid foul trouble.

If Zubac is out there, they are dropping the big.

Going small is deadly on offense for them... the defense is bad though. Ibaka instead of Morris could improve. We got what we wanted more than I thought we would... they also don’t turn people over which helps us. There are gonna be games where they are hot and we lose... but I think we might win the games where we are both shooting our averages. Lue may put them in a little bit of a hole with his flexible approach.

The only had 50 possessions of that in the regular season. All we know is that it was effective against Dallas, mostly. It remains to be seen if it can be at all effective against the Jazz or anyone else.

We got Scott Foster tonight.

As long as I don't see Kane Fitzgerald I figure we are still playing basketball. I like our odds with that.
****! Foster likes being the villain so the home crowd booing the **** out of him feeds him. He also allows a lot of contact which might mean they can dig in on us a little more. Maybe he lets Royce and Rudy play a bit more likely physical. We don’t have floppers so it may not bother us.

Kane is wonky as hell so I guess it’s better. With Kane I think there is a 50/50 shot that you get a great whistle... the downside is you may get a horrendous one.

They are 0-5 when Zubac plays more than 18 minutes in the playoffs... might just be a Dallas thing. I think they really need a healthy Ibaka to be their best. Curious to see how they open up tonight.

With Kane, there is a foul call every 45 seconds. He just destroys team ball and momentum. If I am the less skilled team I want that. I think the overall Jazz team is more skilled than the Clippers, so I want no part of that.

Reallly hope we beat them during small-ball minutes tonight. If we do that and win the game, then LAC will be in free fall
There is a difference between flexibility and wishy washy panic... not sure if Lue is one or the other... but yes I think getting smoked while small means they may move to panic mode. Quin did some good stuff bringing multiple screeners at the same time to confuse the switching and I think he may be a couple steps ahead of Lue.

Kawhi has to be the Man for them to win... hopefully we can contain him.
