This. It’s as close to a knock-out punch as you can get so early in the series. It’s all mental after that, and they didn’t have the fortitude. All the pressure is off us because I don’t think we’d have any pressure to win in LA, and they’re 1-3 in that empty stadium as is.

He just also makes weird *** calls... like I’m just not sure what he is thinking. In general I think if you know the officials name right off the bat and have an opinion about him that it’s probably not good.
 
I don't think Lue actually does much of the gruntwork when it comes to studying opponents, reviewing film, or putting together gameplans. Kenny Atkinson and other guys on his staff do all that. He's had some quotes in the aftermath of Game 1 that, quite frankly, reveal an embarrassing lack of knowledge about the Jazz.

His job is more to create a good locker room culture.

In peewee football we had one trick play that worked almost every time we executed it well... but once you saw it it wasn’t gonna work again... once we ran the play and it wasn’t successful it was demoralizing.

Not having that secret sauce could really send them in a tailspin. Would also be great for Rudy. All the talk of teams just going small in the playoffs and playing him off the court would go away.

Maybe... I think he decides starting lineups though... he approves the gameplan I’m sure.

The assistants have no reason to really push him hard one way unless they feel really really strongly about it. If they push and it doesn’t work it falls on them... if they present options and Lue makes the call then they don’t catch that judgement.

I’d guess they open small and hopefully we burn them.

It's probably very similar to the situation with Nash in Brooklyn.

Honestly, I think Rudy good have 5 DPOY's 3 rings, and an MVP and some moron sportswriter from Philly would still be shouting that Gobert was "always played off the floor" during his Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Those who know, know, the rest aren't worth it.

Rudy gonna slip screens tonight and feast a la Rockets game 2 a few years ago. Hopefully Royce and Jingles can hit some 3s tonight. I don't see Clarkson hitting 6 3s again. And of course Mitchell has to put together another amazing performance.

I just remember watching him talk about when he was on the bucks I think and he played the jazz and got into a shouting match with Larry h Miller and basically forever decided to be a bitch about it haha so he never sides with the jazz...still think he’s better than Jackson...

Also Van Gundy is just weird..he’s like the offspring of Larry David and Mr. Peanut half the time I don’t know what he’s talking about.
 
People have been heaping praise on Ryan Smith for his approach, but people often neglect the fact that if you’ve got an owner who will go in the stands and fight opposing teams’ fans, you’ve got a real keeper.
 
Let's go Jazz! Come out with the same focus you had in the 2nd half and let's go up 2-0.

We can probably generate the same quality shots against Zubac, even though we have struggled with drop big at times. There are levels to it, though. If they go up at the level, we may burn them.

Regardless, our best option could be Ingles-Gobert PnR.
