Don and Mike questionable

If both Don and Mike can't go tomorrow it's gonna give DL free ammo do absolutely nothing in the offseason and justify overpaying Conley. I can already see it now. "Getting Donovan and Mike back and healthy for next season is going to be like acquiring 2 all-stars"

Plus we added Udoka who was hurt and another great backup center prospect at #30 so really I added 2 all stars two first round picks and retained Niang for 4/45M with the 4th year as a player option which is basically the biggest bargain in the league. Also you probably forgot we added Matt Thomas who is the best shooter in the world and Miye Oni will play more since he’s the best perimeter defender we have. We will be aggressive on the trade market and buyout market... no questions at this time.

I don't think that's true.

It’s completely true. What is Mike risking? His career, family and finances are secure. His legacy pretty much is what it is. Hamstrings heal and don’t cause real issues so far as long term health.

Donivan is super young and proven nothing compared to what are some fairly lofty goals, I’m sure. If he tries to fight through this, he could really do some physical damage that alters the trajectory of his career, thus totally destroying his potential and how he’s remembered. He could also really **** his ankle up, which so far as long-term health is much more serious than a hamstring IMO.

If Mike and Spida don't go, why not unveil Brantley, Forrest, Dok and Hughes? They are well rested and what's the worst that can happen? Each guy provides matchup issues and if they just try and play hard that is all we can ask.

Plus let’s be honest... do we think Mike’s hamstring is ever not going to be a problem? He’s always going to be at risk of a more serious hamstring injury.

All I’m saying is it’s all or nothing either have them both out there or neither. I will be pissed if Donovan is out there hobbling by himself trying to make something happen on one leg.

If it is still the Dennis Lindsey and Zanik show after the current roster debacle, I don’t know what to say. The devil is in the details, and DL is bad with the details except for the intricate details of every line in Grayson Allen’s large hand pads.

Like, seriously, I don’t have to watch Lindsey **** up another draft and offseason, right?

lol what

Playing on a strained hamstring is how players tear their ACL's.
Playing on a bad ankle/foot is how Grant Hill ruined his career... both are at risk of serious injuries... Donovan has 10 years in front of him. Mike 1 or 2. Neither guy should play imo.

I think you do... good news is they did their homework early and have already zeroed in on the guy they will take... just like with Udoka last year.

Brooks sitting in his landing zone all last series likely didn’t help either.

This isn’t your dad’s ownership group. I don’t think DL survives this ownership group. It will be so exciting to see all the “lol u know more than professionals” crew not apply that logic to Ryan Smith. I mean, other than being a billionaire, what differentiates Ryan Smith’s opinion from the average JFCer? Is it his friendship with Wade?

I'm not saying Mitchell's without risk.

I just don't think the risks are equivalent, at all. Playing on a bad hamstring is considerably more dangerous, in terms of probability of serious injury.

That crew doesn’t ever change their tune... you can call your shot well ahead of time... lay it out in perfect detail... then be proven right multiple times and they still like “lolz... why doesn’t you get that jobs den if u soooooo smaht?”

Based on my 2 minutes of google research the specific link from hamstring to ACL injury isn’t a fact... not saying it doesn’t happen.

I don’t think we really know what Donovan’s injury is even if it is just an ankle that cost Steph two seasons basically.

Tearing a hamstring or an ACL all seems like at least a one year injury... it’s risky for Mike sure but 1-2 years of all star performance lost versus 10 years is a mighty big difference.

My stance is neither should play... it’s over... I appreciate them wanting to but it’s just not smart.

But they may both be thinking let's give it a try
Maybe we can do just enough to get Jazz to WCF
After that we watch Jazz get destroyed by Suns
They have to be very disappointed to get this far and fail
