All politicians aren’t the same. This cynicism towards popular democratic government favors authoritarians. We need the electorate to be better informed and less bitter. We need voters to care about someone other than themselves. They need to elect better people. Americans can have popular self rule but they need to stop acting like selfish toddlers bitching and moaning all the time over masks and other trivial matters. We have the type of government we vote for.

Well stated—look no further than Cuomo. Every notable politician on the left called for his resignation and a D-led investigation finally forced him out. When was the last time the R’s held someone on their side accountable for anything? Hell they continue to support pedofiles, carnal knowledge rapists, and insurrectionists for re-election. Folks saying “they’re all the same” is rationalizing (often moderate R’s embarrassed by the current state of their party) or just being willfully ignorant (Trumpers). WHATABOUT-ism is the new black and the associated false equivalency is non-sensical, destructive finger pointing and avoids accountability. Yes there is scum on both sides of the isle but that doesn’t make them the same.

4 year investigation that cost 60 million and nothing was found?

How many federal buildings has Antifa stormed? How many vandalized?

How many cops were injured?

This is such an excellent point. Cuomo was toast. He was either going to be impeached if he didn't resign. Had he been Republican serving under a Republican state legislature, he'd still be in office. In fact, he probably would've been a top candidate for the 2024 nomination.

You're right, the "both sidesing" things are mostly Republicans embarrassed by their party but don't want to admit it. It feels better to just label "the other side" as "just as bad." It's cynical and gets us nowhere. It benefits the most corrupt. It's what Putin does and is one of the reasons why he's able to maintain power. Why "change" leadership if all leaders are just corrupt, cynical, and incompetent?

Democratic governments across the world are doing okay. Ours is struggling right now, but others are doing okay. That tells me that we can and should work to improve our own democracy. We can begin by voting for better people. We don't have to elect d-bags all the time who want to lock women and immigrants up or incompetent reality tv stars who brag about their penis sizes. I know good leaders are often subtle and boring, but that's called competence.
 
Americans dying, getting blown to pieces and Democrats are cowardly silent outside of 2 trash bags crying about Republicans for absolutely no reason. Biden hasn't said a word yet.

What did people expect electing a Neo-con? They want the world constantly on fire, and it didn't take Biden long to undo Trump's world peace. It was the first time seen in my lifetime and probably the last, because of the neo-con death grip on Washington.

The blood of these soldiers is on the hands of everyone who voted in another neo-con. After this long, they have no more excuses for their votes. Anti-Trumpers = pro war.

Removing soldiers from other countries is definitely pro war. Anti war would obviously mean invading other countries.

Lolwut? I don’t think neocon means what you think it means. Also, we were at war every minute of Trump’s presidency. There is blood on the hands of every American who ignored Afghanistan for the last 20 years. Outside of the Bin Laden track-down it barely made the news, was rarely in public discussion and was
never a significant campaign issue for any politician.
