Trade deadline discussion

Kenrich Williams might be an amazing winning player hiding in plain sight... his on-off splits the last two years are WILD! One of the best in the league. That is also likely due to his team being trashy but there have been other guys that had great on/off stuff and turned out to be good players. I'm super disappointed we didn't push to get him back in the Favors for a first deal this offseason... feels like that could have been doable.

I think Charlotte may be a team that does a deal... and possibly Hayward is in it. They have a salary crunch coming now that Bridges is going to get paid. Can likely alleviate part of that with a trade or waiving Oubre's salary next year. I doubt they keep all of Oubre, Hayward, and Martin next year.

Not sure a deal makes sense on our end... but I'd bet that is a team that does something
Ainge is going to trade Ingles and Clarkson for Hayward.

Take the emotion out of it: would you trade Clarkson and Ingles for Hayward and then just sign Dunn?

Yeah for sure... in a second. The likely question is would you trade Bojan and Ingles for Hayward or Bojan and JC for Hayward.... I would think Bojan has to be involved in that deal.

I can't quite tell if he's a starter-level player, but the Jazz make Royce look good by getting him open shots and open lanes. I'd imagine we could do the same with Williams.

The Jazz need a wing with some size who can create. A multi-skilled wing who can get in the middle of the floor makes all the difference. Ingles almost filled that role in recent seasons, but I don't think he has the energy to do it anymore.

Problem with Kenrich is that he's not really a wing. He's good in the same way that Niang was good, but with less shooting and more defense, but he's still not a guy you want to put on athletic players.

Ainge has a track record of getting Hayward for as little as possible.

Ainge needs to work his rule-breaking and have an under-the-table agreement where whoever we trade Ingles to will trade him to a third team who will then buy him out so we can sign him.
