One brow said that the oil that we would be getting from keystone, we are already getting through other methods. So if the keystone was completed and up and running it wouldn't make any difference whatsoever maybe?

Probably "no difference" is a little extreme. Pipelines are less expensive (and seem to have greater lossage) than tankers, trains, etc.

In particular, the tar sands oil that would have been in Keystone causes more difficulty in pipelines than cleaner oil.

Again, why issue more leases when we already have 7,000 leases not being used?

Oh, maybe........ like....., man,........ there's some fraudsters who market leases that are worthless. Maybe by the thousands......

Or, maybe, there are regulatory issues that have effectively stopped some...... well, thousands.

Exploration and filing for leases is years down the road for some. Others have been on a different approach, doing the paperwork or regulatory stuff first,so one the lease is approved they can start right away.

What is this nonsense about. Everybody knows there were thousands of layoffs when Biden started putting the brakes on the entire process, and many wells were simply shut down on the prospect of protracted interference with business. Domestic production declined because of political policy.

Really inconsequential or meaningless in real environmental terms. An oil well is less messy than five cows grazing on 100 acres of grass, really.

Oil pipelines reduce combustion in transport a way lot.

A large political faction against Putin is Russia's communist party. Others are the oligarchs who have been bribed by and done favors for the fascist foreign interests. A recent article in the CFR publication "Foreign affairs" outlined some of these opponents of Putin at home.

this is actually part of the "containment" bubble that is supposed to exercise control over a rising China. It is an effort to derail BRICS and the "land bridge" or trancontinental freightline being build by participants in the Silk Road or Belt and Road project. It is British and American based business interests pulling political strings, and aiming to lock down oil worldwide. It is the people who backed Biden.

The same people who are working so hard to shut down political dissent in the USA.

I don't know how to make an angel outta Putin, but Hillary and Obama are just as bad. Not to mention Xi.

It's not worth throwing politcal independence for Ukraine, or the Ukrainian people under the bus of globalism.

Time to make a settlement in Ukraine, and accept no NATO foothold there, and no great partition of the country. Political and military neutrality is good for Ukraine.

Obama is not inactive in politics today. He bought a $12M dive near Washington DC so he could operate as a sort of spider in his web of influence. Neither is Hillary really off the radar. They are very committed to their ideals of globalism and the interests they serve.

Some conservatives wanna make them both out as commies with many "connections" to known communists. I sorta believe they aren't real commies because they don't really believe the crap. But they find the ideas useful for political purposes and they win points with the Bigs for really having no aversion to Fascism.

I don't care what unthinking people have to say about me so much as I hope someone will begin to see the picture and maybe decide to help with real education, real human rights, and limited governments that can't be taken over with so much capacity for damage as Putin or a Rockefeller hack.

Wait is it fascists or communists who are scheming against Putin? Cuz you’re describing two completely different tribes here.

And foreign fascists are bribing Russia’s oligarchs? Who are these foreign fascists? I want their names and where they’re from. Which oligarchs are they bribing? Do you have any evidence for any of this?

What’s a globalist?

What’s wrong with globalism?

Aren’t we seeing the advantages right now with having allies?

How does one stop or end globalism when intercontinental trade and immigration have been happening for thousands of years?

I've never really understood the ultimate issue with globalism.

I mean I get it in one sense, that there is a power structure in the U.S. built for the benefit of a certain demographic and in a globalized world those people wouldn't be artificially benefitting from that system.

I also understand the notion that people have in American exceptionalism and that globalism wouldn't allow that to exist.

I also understand that many people seem to think the U.S. Constitution is a divinely inspired document, so it would amount to sacrilege if we allowed any law to supersede it.

But mostly the people who use the word globalism seem to push the narrative that globalism is the same as the abolishment of individual rights.

I think all of those ideas are flawed and I think globalism is an evolutionary process that in fact will provide for human rights and individual rights for all humans, which is a thing I'm strongly in favor of. I think it could be the most powerful force against fascism and oppression.

I'm not saying give me any old sort of globalized government and/or economic system (which would never be communism anyway), but the idea isn't one I dismiss out of hand.
