It’s almost like their religious belief is to always be the persecuted. Whether they’re persecuted by globalists (Jews), immigrant workers, Dr Fauci, and now those who don’t want a return of the authoritarianism of a loser like Trump or Putin.

I’m no longer a teacher either. For several years I’ve worked from professor and now work in administration at a local university. It’s been a long journey, involving a lot of long days working by day and doing school at night. Those concerned with the state of education should become teachers. There’s a massive teacher shortage for a reason. I’d gladly like to see those who bitch about educators today come and join the profession. Give people like me competition! I’m sure you’ll have a much greater appreciation for education and educators if you do this.

One thing that’s been consistent in my experience here in Utah is that religious white conservatives are definitely not persecuted. Republicans in Utah run the show. Comparing them to black children is pretty damn insulting when you think about it for a few seconds.

Yes.

I think people on this board have a weird obsession with the amount of melanin in a person's skin. To me it is no different from eye color or hair color or height. I've also met people much better than myself who belong to nearly every school of thought. I've met horrible human beings and they too come from everywhere. Hating a group of people you've never met on account of belonging to a social collective is why the word 'bigot' has such a negative connotation. To me, bigotry is bigotry and I don't have a special class of bigotry set aside for black people because that in and of itself is another bigotry to me. I think people should be seen as people. I don't feel like it is that hard of a concept but sadly it seems exceedingly rare these days.

Also, educators don’t know the political affiliation of students nor do we ask. Through discussion you might be able to get a perception of their beliefs. But any good educator knows how to challenge their students (that’s what education is) while also respecting them as human beings.

Many have recently have expressed anxiety at having their dim views of American history being challenged. Sorry, but that’s education. Educators isn’t about making you feel good by providing you with reassuring propaganda. Education is always supposed to be challenging. Whether it’s math, language arts, history, trade like welding or electrical work or service education such as hospitality. If you don’t want to be challenged in education then your perception of what education should be is probably warped.

It isn't moral nihilism to be dismissive of group sin and group virtue. Believing collective sin and virtue is meaningless isn't the same as thinking nothing matters. I simply choose to judge people on their own merits as individuals. That is the way I do it. If someone is dividing people into groups to make it easier or justified in their own mind to hate the members of that group then I don't look favorably on it no matter what label they are affixing to the group.

I get your point with this response but I don’t agree with this general grouping as well. I know a friend who had consensual relationship with a girl who was underaged but had a fake ID. She was caught by her parents and she lied and pressed charges. He was convicted and spent time in jail. Would he be in your group of “rapists” that you hate?
When Triller says republicans are racists, he is grouping 33% of the American population as racists. This is the point that is being made.

I don't judge them as a group. I have no problem judging the act. Rape itself is detestable. Likewise I wouldn't begrudge you if you believed fascism is detestable. There is a difference between feelings of revulsion to an act or idea, and feelings of revulsion to a social collective of people.

I think Progressivism is cancer but I know Progressives who are better people than I am. I know one guy who stopped all the cars on a road so a snake could slither across without being killed. There is no conflict inside my own head over thinking he's completely wrongheaded in his political ideas and thinking he is a better human being than I am. I don't know any rapists who are better people than I am but I also don't blanket hate all of them because I know there exist a small number of rapists who didn't actually rape anyone.

3. ******** countries and Trump whining about the lack of white immigrants.
4. Child separation for those seeking asylum. He wanted to make this as painful as possible to discourage brown people from seeking asylum.
5. “When the looting starts the shooting starts.” The racist history behind this quote was pretty obvious to anyone with a basic understanding of American history.
6. Attempts to throw out votes, from mostly POC, silencing their voices. Funny how Trump never called into question any rural white voting precincts, right?

And this comes after the Trump family was sued by the Nixon administration for racial discrimination and after he called for the Central Park 5 to be executed. His first AG, Jeff Sessions, had a long history with racism. And do we need to go into detail about Stephen Miller???

So either Republicans who supported Trump agreed with his views and are racist or they weren’t bothered enough by Trump’s racism to support someone else.
