This is what's wrong with you. GFYS.
This isn't a thing you ****ing nitwit.
For every decent contribution you make you have way too much of this garbage *** nonsense.
#1) That is what the legislation does.
#2) That is what Disney opposed.
#3) That is what is popular with parents and Florida voters.
You can argue that the legislation was unneeded and done only as a political stunt. You may even be correct but that doesn't change 1, 2, or 3. Florida did the political stunt which made it harder for sexual predators to groom kids in K-3. Disney took a look at the bill and didn't say "this never happens", but instead said "we demand this bill making it harder to groom kids in K-3 is repealed and we are going to lobby other states to make sure they don't make it hard for sexual predators to groom kids in K-3 in their states". It was a monumentally stupid thing for Disney to have done. What is worse is that Disney has implied the LGBTQ community ARE sexual predators by citing them as their reason to oppose this anti-sexual predator bill.
Do you think the LGBTQ community are all sexual predators? I don't.
Do you think the bill outlawed saying the word "gay" in Florida? I don't.
Do you think it was smart for Disney to demand that it be easier for sexual predators to use schools to prey on young kids? I don't.
I think the current political climate where anything the Republicans do must be forcefully opposed by the Democrats has led to a humorous situation after Florida Republicans proposed anti-sexual predator legislation, and that is exactly what the legislation in question is. At this point I wonder what Democrats would do if DeSantis demanded that no one jump off a cliff to their death.
As for the law striking down Disney's special carve out, I think that too is a stunt and won't stand. I predict Disney will take it to court and it will get struck down on First Amendment grounds as a retaliation for Disney exercising its constitutionally protected freedom of speech.
