Clearly all the leaks about the New York Knicks for the last two season where just made up by random media members out of their *** and it's a coincidence that the Knicks ended up being the team that is trying the hardest to trade for him.

If he didn't want out wouldn't he be out here calling these reports BS and stuff... wouldn't he have said some things to refute it.

I think the rumors were there all along but it hit a critical point with the unnerved report. Think that carefully crafted article that came out 3 minutes after the announcement generated some conversation between us and CAA to get them to STFU and play nice or it gets ugly. If we found CAA/Knicks tampering there could be hefty fines and penalties.

Rebuilding was always a possibility but I think Ainge went into the offseason with full flexibility and then found a huge deal he liked that skewed us towards rebuilding.

Remember when he got on twitter just to call out Spence for the Quin/Text thing? Yeah....

Then we hold their prize.

They want Donovan. We dont need to trade him there. Send them a "honeycrisp-upyours" and see how they like them apples.
I think we get it but they may make us earn it. I pursue the Heat deal and cutoff communications for a day or two and leak **** like crazy... "Jazz really value Herro and see him as a young borderline AS". Make em pick up the phone.

I think doing a hard reset/rebuild was the obvious direction. I don't care if Mitchell wants to stay or leave, and I don't care if he wants Miami or New York. The fact is, the Jazz need multiple All Stars who are similar in age to build around. Ideally, they should have a bonafide franchise player who enters into MVP discussions. Otherwise, they're not going anywhere. The two years left on Mitchell's current contract before his impending free agency don't provide enough runway to rebuild properly, so the Jazz should move him. Done and done.

If the Jazz can sell high on Mitchell, then great. I'm just disappointed that we weren't able to get Paolo Banchero out of it during this last draft. Now we need to look ahead to next year's lottery.

FWIW, there was a recent report that said Mitchell's team "would like a trade" ostensibly to Miami or New York, but he isn't trying to force one.

Take a look at this boring *** garbage shoe. This is the DON Issue 4. This is going to hit outlet malls immediately after release if Donovan Mitchell is in Utah.

If he's in NYK Adidas might actually make some money.

Pretty obvious who the biggest offenders are in the constant "Don to NYK" rumors.

Royce O’Neale Pick value

How have Houston,Brooklyn and Philly fared over the past 5 seasons? Where would that pick have landed if it was recently conveyed?

2022 Draft
Rockets - 03
Nets - 17
76ers - 23
Pick would’ve been Philadelphia’s pick #23

2021 Draft
Rockets - 02
Nets - 27
76ers - 28
Pick would’ve been Philadelphia’s pick #28

2020 Draft
Nets - 17
76ers - 19
Rockets - 22
Pick would’ve been Houston’s pick #22

2019 Draft
Nets - 17
76ers - 24
Rockets - 26
Pick would’ve been Houston’s pick #26

2018 Draft
Nets - 08
76ers - 10
Rockets - 30
Pick would’ve been Houston’s pick #30

I think we can safely say that this pick should be considered to be a late 1st round pick, but considering Houston’s rebuild, Brooklyn’s dysfunction and Philly’s health concerns, it could potentially end up in the low 20’s - possibly even the lottery.

I'm projecting Philadelphia's pick to be about #24 or #25 this year. Minnesota's pick might be #21 or #22. Dallas' pick (if we end up with it) might be #19 or #20. There are going to be decent players available at 20, 22 and 24 in this draft, but ideally the Jazz would have two lottery picks, including the Jazz's own pick in the top 5 and the Knicks' pick in the 12 - 14 range.

Potential draft might be: Amen Thompson, Jarace Walker, Baba Miller, Chris Livingston and Kyle Filipowski. Thompson and Walker both have All Star potential.

No he did the opposite. He questioned what the FO plans were doing after they made the trades. That doesn’t sound like someone who requested a trade. Sounds like someone questioning of where management is taking the team he plays for.

“According to Windhorst, Mitchell went to the front office and asked them what their plan was following the O’Neal and Gobert trades”

Remember when he got on twitter just to call out Spence for the Quin/Text thing? Yeah....
While I absolutely believe he wants out, I think long before all of this started, Don made a conscious decision to give the media/fans absolutely NOTHING that would allow them to create a false narrative and run with it.

A perfect example would be his social media silence in the wake of the Gobert/Quin departures and the hiring of Will Hardy.

If he posts a public farewell to Rudy or Quin, EVERY single word would be contorted, over analyzed, and twisted to serve other’s opinions. Posting a warm welcome to Will Hardy would immediately be twisted into: “See, look how excited he is. I’ve been telling you my sources have been saying Don and Quin had been at odds for quite some time.”

I don’t blame the kid. Hell, I actually kinda respect him for freezing the media out.
