I say the Jazz can take a couple bad contracts as long as they only have 2 years max left on them. If that's not the case then they better be relatively small bad contracts. Otherwise that isn't what's going on here and we should move on to the next higher bidder. I'd take fewer picks than get more with bad contracts and protections.
That all sounds about right to me. Surprised to hear there isn’t a stronger market for Clarkson. I’m also really curious to know the market on Beasley. I think he could be the piece in the rumored Sexton S&T.
Jazz need to be in touch with Miami about getting that 2025 pick they owe unprotected. They should find a way to send a 2nd to the Heat to make it happen. The unprotecting of that pick needs to happen or else I think NY might seriously drag this out. If the Heat/Thunder (and Jazz?) can make that happen in early September then that would be choice timing. Might help the Knicks to operate in good faith. Or the Jazz just trade with Miami and get on with it. Seeing the Knicks walk empty handed would be enjoyable for me too.

My first choice is picks. Second choice, I would take Barrett. Third choice, I would take Hero and then trade him for more picks. Fourth choice, I do not want anything to do with Tyler Hero.

Yeah, I didn’t make it unfortunately.
It's really surprising. He definitely struggled the first few months of the season but from about February on he was really good, and he was one of our best players in the Mavs series. I definitely thought there would be some teams interested in him

The **** ton of picks would come from the heat in the late 20’s. I expect the wolves picks to be at best mostly in the low to mid 20’s. So that’s basically one decent shot at a star. We need multiple shots at a star, those are the unprotected Knicks picks the jazz covet

Agreed. I also think the Jazz can start selling off cap space for additional picks and/or swaps to potentially upgrade their chances in those years as well.
Again, everyone knows the Knicks can offer the best package. Doesn’t look like they are so far. I’d take the Heat’s A package over the Knicks B package.
