Does the Knicks possibly losing a pick for tampering throw a spanner in the works ??
People talk as If the Jazz need to trade Donovan to commit to tank for this season
I don't see the current roster fighting for a play in spot (right now Blazers is better than us, a healthy Lakers should be, and who knows what will be off the Westbrook saga, and maybe even Kings and OKC may have more talent overall than us). With some trades that should be expected (Bogey and Beverley) even If Donovan isn't traded by trade deadline, it's easy for us to be losing as many games as any team in the West that isn't located in Texas, and looking East, the worst two records got more talent coming in rather than going out.
Dok sucks. I'd rather throw Kessler into the fire or just bring back Whiteside.Dok// Kessler
Bogey// vando
Beasley// Italian dude
Mitchell// JC
Conley//Beverly
They could also work a sign and trade for Sexton. There’s something there. Quite honestly this roster could go one way or another. At the very least I see this team fighting for a play in bid.
On another strange note. The Dok pick is finally relevant lol
Since the Rudy trade, I’ve gone from:OMG I am soooo ready for this trade to happen. It is driving me nuts.

Since the Rudy trade, I’ve gone from:
- Wanting to use our newfound assets to retool around Don.
- To reluctantly embracing a Don to NY deal and all of the draft assets that would come with it.
- Back to wanting to keep Don and telling NY to go **** themselves.
At this point, I just can’t think of anything more funny than the fallout headed the Knicks way should they botch bringing the golden boy home when he was there for the taking.
I’m sure most fans on here will disagree with me, but I think the odds of Utah rebuilding around Don to the point where he stays put and we’re legit contenders in a year or 2 is probably just as mathematically possible as trading both Don and Rudy and completing a rebuild that sees the Jazz better off than they were prior to said rebuild.
The proposed three-team trade scenario included Westbrook going to Utah and getting bought out. Utah would send Donovan Mitchell to the Knicks, a combination of two players, including Patrick Beverley and Jordan Clarkson, Bojan Bogdanovic or Malik Beasley to the Lakers, and the Jazz would receive significant draft pick compensation from the Knicks and Lakers. The Knicks also would’ve had to part with veteran salary filler(s), such as Derrick Rose to help make the salaries work.
That doesn't preclude them from putting a framework in place. Season doesn't start until October 19.That couldn't happen until September.
And that may be what they have done…. But there would still be physicals and all that… so you wouldn’t necessarily announce something prior to September. They may have a decent idea of what everyone would accept but just waiting out the clock to further down the road. That doesn't preclude them from putting a framework in place. No doubt, but they aren't announcing anything. They could simply have the framework for the deal and see if anyone has a better offer. If not, shoot the deal when they can trade the affected players. And that may be what they have done…. Its also the nba so you wouldn’t want to agree to something 45 days in advance and then have a guy tear an ACL in an offseason workout or have something else happen… I think the September clock is hindering some of these things from getting too far down the road.
That is so weird. A few of the best posters on here have discussed this exact trade a few weeks ago. I thought we were just a bunch of internet idiots who don’t know anything lolz.
What do the jazz get exactly?I like this idea quite a bit. We buy out Russ, get add'l first round picks to do so, and take a ransom from the Knicks.
