Lakers-Jazz Trade

I think that’s a mistake. I really think ****ing around about the tank and getting mis-timed building blocks isn’t the best way to approach this. And that’s saying nothing of the good odds the Jazz return on those draft picks is poor.

The best thing the team can do now since they have a sub-optimal start is to redouble their efforts on sucking and getting more dice to roll for a blue chipper.

We need this deal to happen. So do the Lakers.

The Lakers deal is totally separate than Sexton/Lauri. We can have those two as solid building blocks this year and still get a nice pick. I think we will not be rebuilding as long as people think. We could be in playoff contention as soon as 2024-25 depending on how well our draft picks pan out.

Locke talked about this today. He kinda broke things down okay... hearing him talk cap holds and stuff is hilarious.

I still think its one pick and maybe we work Conley into the deal if that is the case... or two picks and its Vando and maybe we circle back and send some additional seconds or things back to him.

I don't think Lakers should be all in on just expiring deals and that Vando and Beasley should have a lot of value to them both on court or as future trade fodder if they want to work a sign and trade with Brooklyn for Kyrie.

I’m still down for a three-team deal with Phoenix/Miami.

Bogey to Phoenix

Robinson/Shamet to Utah

Crowder/Gay to Miami

2 unprotected 2023 1sts headed our way as well.
Unprotected from the Suns and Heat, two teams guaranteed to pick in the 22-30 range? Yeah, no thanks, not for taking on Robinson and Shamet's bad contracts.

To take on all of Robinson's bad money, I'd need their pick to be farther out. I'd at least want Butler to get older before the pick conveys, because they'll still be contenders this year. I still think it's a bad idea regardless.

Shamet’s contract is fine. I’d love to see a better deal where we get two 2023 1sts or better than you can come up with.

Never underestimate the power of idiocy in a groupthink situation.
Did they watch any of last season? At all? It's one of the biggest disasters in basketball I have ever seen.

But it's fine, not only do players get better at 33 years old, they become players they've never been even at their zenith.

Keep the cap space and sign good players.

If we didn’t move anyone else we could get to 63.3M in cap space next offseason. We have room to take a bad contract or two.

That’s even counting guys with player options opting in.

Smart move by the Lakers. They know those picks are gold value and they aren't going to give it up for bronze level players.

Lebron signed cuz he wants to be in LA, not because he has to win rings. Maybe Russ has humbled himself and plays more within the team next year without actually self admitting that is happening.

Good, they can use that to sign more good players or save it til 24 to sign even more good players.

I'm not taking 4 years worth of *** for a late first.

Just give me Shamet and one pick. I'm ok with that.
