Health & Fitness Thread

I am trying to figure out how to keep my body functioning better with all of my health issues. I have several food intolerances, but I have no interest in doing an elimination diet to figure them all out because I know there is no way that is going to be successful. So I decided to start slow, pick something to work on every month, and then add the next thing. Last month I chose to add more fruits and vegetables daily. My body has a difficult time dealing with fiber, so many fresh fruits and vegetables don't work. But I mostly figured out last month what works and what doesn't. (Oddly, I can eat raw cabbage but not raw carrots. That makes no sense as cabbage is typically harder on your system.)

This month I'm going without beef as it is apparently bad for inflammation problems. I love hamburgers and have at least one every week, so this will be a change. Hopefully it helps some.

I do not do well with diets or eating plans, so I'm making it relatively easy to make small changes. Hopefully helps a lot eventually.

Seems like a good approach. Good luck.

Yup, I'm back. Loving the Jazz rebuild. Should be fun.

How have you been @LogGrad98 ?
Nobody knew. Maybe you joined the French foreign legion, who knew? Welcome back!

Post covid is now the longest time I've been lifting weights consistently.

I had been going for about 6 months straight pre-covid and I got up to about 200 lbs then lost like 10 lbs during covid.

Been going to the gym for about 16 months straight now and I'm 220.

Damn, you lost weight during Covid? I've only heard stories of people gaining weight due to work from home restrictions and not getting out and about. That must have taken a lot of commitment to do that.. LOL ..

Good on ya.

When I'm less active my appetite drops. I only really gain weight when I'm trying to gain weight. Also for the start of the pandemic it was hard to actually get groceries, so I wasnt going crazy and eating everything.
