Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

So with this Sarver thing going down... he supposedly can't be involved in basketball operations (how the hell that gonna work?)... I wonder if they end up staying status quo for a while. Like he can't tell James Jones if he will pay more tax or approve a trade?

Anyway... another random happening around the league that may have a small effect on us.

A better spot than a 30 million dollar spot?

Yeah, I think it's something.
You need to come check out the houses in these areas. Move 2 miles away and 15 mill can buy you a far better spread, but you just won't be neighbors with Keanu Reeves or whatever. Crazy how much the market fluctuates for these estates. One beach house we looked at, 1k sq ft, 2 bed 1 bath, full beach access, $5 mill. Then, 3 miles away, 2k sq ft, 4 bed 3 bath, full beach access, essentially the beach view was identical to the first, far better house, and it cost $1.8 mill.

Yeah, but two miles away is that much further away from the Staples center I would assume and would result in a much much longer work commute.

No idea, just very uninformed speculation on my part

Log looking at $5M beach houses.

Probably worth it to net $10 mill profit on the property.

Sooo.... there's some sort of deal going down here soon for sure, right? Gotta trim that roster down. Training camp is close. Guys gotta be able to pack their ****.

I’d be surprised if Bogey wasn’t moved. At this rate though there isn’t many 2 or 3 for 1 deals out there for us besides the Westbrook deal. We probably look at sending some lower salary into a TPE or cap space for a 2nd (Stanley Johnson).

Bogey/Butler/Azubuike for Crowder/Shamet/1st

Then send Johnson to Boston into their TPE for a 2nd. We end up at 15 players on the roster ready to go.

I think the Jazz and Lakers are in the trenches of PR/leverage warfare. Much like the Knicks deal that didn’t end up happening, the stare down is a free tactic until training camp. We’ll see what happens as we get nearer.

I have my doubts that Danny’s gonna be able to even land stars in a trade in their supposed plan cuz the dude just cultivates grievance and it’s easy to miss out when good faith is in short supply.

I also wondered if Bolmaro is someone the Jazz are valuing highly or if he might be someone they use to maybe offload NAW or Gay (a bit optimistic but who knows).

For what its worth I had a dream Gay got traded and I was surprised it was for like an expiring deal and nothing else attached... so my dreams are about pointless nba trades... boo....

That is where JZ comes in... classic good cop bad cop. JZ even talks **** about Danny with the other teams... its like the sales guy/ finance guy/Manager tag team at car dealerships. Sales guy is the buddy... keeps going back to the manager for approval of things... finance guy hits you up and puts the high pressure to buy windshield wiper insurance. It works.

With the Lakers I think you can stare them down because they are a week away from having their bluff called. If we bow out they are now in a staring contest with Indiana. And honestly I'd love to get those Lakers picks but I will also be fine with getting a first for Bogey and some seconds for JC and then rolling with Mike and Beasley into the season. Malik is kind of a low risk high reward dude. Has a team option so if he plays well he has good value... if he sucks you just don't pick up the option. He is absolutely a guy that can get smoking hot for a month and score 20 a game in our situation... and you end up parlaying him for a first.

With Mike the hate has gone way too far. He had a ****** playoff on a team full of ****** playoff performances. He should be one of the main guys LA wants if they are smart.

Markannen can be aggregated in October. Just FYI
We ain't trading Lauri or Collin unless someone gives us a **** ton for them. They are perfect for a rebuild project. Could really show what they have. Like unless someone gives you two unprotected picks or a ****** team like Sacramento gives you a first for one of them... they will be here for this year.

I don't think Trader Danny is above trading anyone... but unless one of these guys becomes superfluous (like if we took Scoot). I doubt they are on the block.

I legit thought this season would suck... but guys like Sexton, Lauri, Simone, Ochai are going to be fun to watch... I am curious on Kessler but I don't think he will be "fun"... he might be good.
