Lakers-Jazz Trade

It depends on the pieces going back but I would prefer getting the 28 pick and evening out our pick allocation a bit. It also makes the 27 swap so much more valuable... because we could swap it with 1 of 3 picks.

I'm also comfortable just going back to Phoenix and getting a 24 pick from them for Bogey and selling off the other pieces if LA is digging in. They have so much more riding on this than us.
If they can get a '24 unprotected from Phoenix they need to bite on that. Piecing out the rest from that point would be messier but fine.

We can include Azubuike/Bolmaro in the deal and make it a 3 for 2. Then all we’d have to do is send Johnson into a TPE for a 2nd.

From Tony Jones in a newly published Athletic piece, aggregated to RealGM:
After trading Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell, the Utah Jazz are exploring the trade market for the remaining veterans on their roster. Utah has talked trades with rival teams involving Bojan Bogdanovic, Mike Conley, Jordan Clarkson, Rudy Gay and Malik Beasley.

In particular, the Jazz have held ongoing talks with the Los Angeles Lakers surrounding Bojan Bogdanovic. The veteran forward averaged 18.1 points on 45/39/86 shooting splits a season ago.

Utah and Los Angeles have already linked up for one deal this offseason. The Lakers sent Talen Horton-Tucker and Stanley Johnson to the Jazz in exchange for Patrick Beverley. Landing Bogdanovic would go a long way towards adding depth to the Lakers rotation.

The challenge is Los Angeles may find it difficult to match salary in a trade for Bogdanovic. In part, that may be why Utah isn't close to trading Bogdanovic at this time.
Hmm. I wonder where the Lakers could find matching salary... hmmm.....

Not too messy. There are plenty of TPEs coming due and the Jazz have some players in that range that could be valuable. Don't think it'd hard to trade them w/o taking a player back.

who are the Lakers going to get when Lebron retires? That organization is just stupid to hold onto 27 and 29 picks lol. They need to get rid of that crap for Bogey, Clarkson, and Conley..... like yesterday

I think they need to cut at least two players to get down to 15.
Yes but in this case, im pretty sure we are to good for tank. Which is a bit strange considering our strategy. The other option is to trade a lot of our picks to get a better one. Could be Danny option. Season start in 10-12 days, we will know really soon.

In all honesty, the Jazz don’t need to force a trade to unload guaranteed money. They can just as easily cut JB, NAW, Azibuke or Johnson. Just eat the last year of their salary and move on to next year.
You don’t want to eat that salary if you can help it… we are damn near the luxury tax and once you waive a guy that amount is locked in. Would be far better to send out JB and Johnson into someone’s TPE or space. Any bogey JC or Mike trade likely returns two players for one… unless it’s the Westbrook deal.

Obviously not a big concern but I’d be shocked if we didn’t make at least two more trades before the season starts.

Blessing in disguise. Conley is going to be good for the youngins and more valuable at trade deadline or next off season.
I don’t think Conley was really a viable option for a Lakers trade. If they make a deal, it will be for Bogey, Beasley and (probably) Clarkson.

I love some of the stuff in this article... like "the lakers would like to get good players xyz but they are reluctant to take on future money or give up draft picks" okay well then what exactly do you want to do dickheads.

Luck the Fakers... we out.

Do deals with other teams and let these assholes sit in their stupidity. Last season was miserable for their fans... this season will be excruciating.
