2023 NBA Draft Megathread

Jaime Jacquez at 28.

Would love for him to actually be a NBA player. His shot has just not developed. Same with Andre Jackson Jr from UConn. Both dudes would be surefire NBA players if they had decent jumpers.

KOC compared Brandon Miller to Paul George and Ferg said he was like Nic Batum lmao.

NSJ at 16 is interesting. That seems way too low for him.

KOC has grown on me. I enjoy him on pods
I do too... I was mostly kidding and he is one of those guys that can laugh at his own mistakes... I just remember he had Killian Hayes number 1 on his draft board.

There seems to be wild ranges and preferences on mock drafts this year. Its kind of nice to see but I am not sure if it is deviating just to be different or just truly it is that wide open. These guys all swear not to look at other mock drafts and other big boards and it makes me laugh... sure this is your business and you aren't seeing at all what others are saying.

I watched a lot of Anthony Black last night and really ****ed me up in where I rate him now. His early season impact was better than it currently is but optimistically watching him as the season goes on. Dude could be a hugely impactful piece in the league.

Rayan Rupert defensive highlights. After checking out Ringer big board, I realized I hadn't seen any of his highlights. Very long active arms. I'm interested in him around 20.

Agreed, I called him out as a sleeper a few months back and am really intrigued by him.

I really appreciate actually moving guys based on play. Feel like most mocks are so stagnant that there's hardly any point in even looking.
if you're basing it on play, you'd drop walker. he's played 11 games in january and december and scored single digits in 7 out of the 11. most games he's just out there. also, 7 out of the 11 with 5 or fewer rebounds - for a guy of his physical profile, not a good sign.

i really want to like him and i think it's fine to rank him high based on the fact he's a beast physically, he has a good shooting stroke and he's a good athlete - iow, he's full of potential, so if you rank him high based on that, fine. but basing it on his play and production, he leaves a lot to be desired.

Update, just looked him up as he's come back from injury and his shooting has been dreadful. Woof.....
Remember the old Draftexpress videos... just when the music changes and it goes to weaknesses turn the video off... its so much more fun that way.
