2023 NBA Draft Megathread

PG - ???
SG - Agbaji
SF - Brandon Miller
PF - Lauri

At that point throw all remaining assets to get Haliburton. Then you have:

PG - Haliburton
SG - Adbaji
SF - Miller
PF - Lauri
C - Kessler

Wow.

They won’t trade Tyrese… our best use of picks is to find the next Tyrese… either by using the picks or trading to move up.

If the Utah/Minny picks fall like 14 and 16 the aggressive move I’d like to see is using the future picks to move up for guys we want.

Do you see him as the Jazz starting point guard of the future? I have my doubts.

Unfortunately not getting miller without lottery luck from late lottery via the Wolves completely blowing the deadline.
line up more like next couple seasons without trading all 3 of Clarkson Mike and Sexton at the deadline.
primary : Mike/ Sexton, Rookie guard picked with whatever pick is least favorable of the 3 like Colby Jones or Sasser late first.
secondary : JC or Beasley( whoever isn't moved this month)/ Rookie taken with most favorable pick in the lottery or right after like Smith, Jett Howard or George.
swingman: Finnisher/ Agbaji/ Simone.
Stretch : Vander/ Rook taken with 2nd most favorable pick mid first like Hendricks or Murray.
5-Kessler /KO / g-league allstar
THT and Gay opt in and are then waived or traded as expirings next deadline.
NAW leaves along with bottom 4 probably. I could see maybe resigning Bolmaro if he is developing at all but beyond that time for fresh gleaguers on 2 ways.

Err........why? I dont get what the pic is supposed to say about him or him being or not being the Jazz starting PG.
Uhhhh... sir... number one he has no part in his hair... and why the eff is he smiling... is he on the weed?????

When I see those eyes I don't see the confidence that I see in most top prospects. Most even look overconfident which at least shows they believe in themselves. When I look at him though, I see the deer in in the headlights look. Maybe I'm wrong. Time will tell.

He has GG at 16 which is probably about where I would put GG currently.

Leonard Miller seems to be getting more attention from draft people lately. Seeing him in the last first for a lot of people now. I havent paid attention to him since last draft. Watching him he kind of reminds me of Vanderbilt (basically he plays a similar, but bigger role that JV does). The Ignite team seems to be developing him well. Kind of an energy/garbage clean-up big who also handles PG play at times. The shot looks funky because it's such a low release. His % from 3 have been abysmal too (Can definitely get better though, it looks comfortable at least, but probably needs tweaking mechanically). His FT shooting is OK, but it's pretty small sample size because he doesnt get many FT's (the G-League also does 1 shot FT's as well, so keep that in mind when looking at any G-Leaguer)

Wasnt a fan of Miller last year, but I like the idea of those types of guys. He seems to be more offensively fluid than Vando with touch around the rim and overall looks bigger. His ability to handle at his size is definitely what gives him upside. He be an interesting 3rd pick in the 1st round.

You are looking at an 18 year old who cant fully grow facial hair and still has acne breakouts. Stop being weird.

this reminded me so much of Money ball when one of the scouts says the prospect has an ugly girlfriend and it shows he lacks confidence. It was one of the old school scouts the movie mocks.

I want to like Maxwell Lewis, but his team gets absolutely smoked and they have talent for their conference. I dont get how they are as bad as they are.
and he was horrendous in their loss to saint mary's yesterday. that was hard to watch. you never want to base anything on one game, but that's hard to see. and you're right, that team has talent, so if he's so good why aren't they better? all that said, i still like him late first.

part of the question as to why they aren't better is romar. he, probably more than any other coach out there has the widest gap between his ability to recruit, which is pretty elite, and his ability to coach which is pretty piss poor.
