I agree, they are near G league level. I think their plan is to pray to get Victor or Scoot and try to get Harden back home. Pretty risky strategy.....

But thats misleading. Wins without Gobert are vs HOU (x2), vs CHI, vs TOR, vs DAL and @OKC.. so 4 home wins against the struggle busses.

Chicago are competitive , as is Toronto , I wouldn’t say Dallas is struggling , and OKC on there day are pretty good

Chicago and OKC were early season so struggling bad back then.

Minny is suprising good without KAT and Gobert. They would be over 20pick if they were healthy. Things should change because of schedule. I hope. Best case scenario is still possible. 7-13 pick.

Minnesota is likely to seesaw these next two games and then steadily drop once their schedule toughens up. Still hoping for a full-fledged implosion the second half of the season. At least give the Jazz a shot at Wemby - two shots would be even better.
LAC, OKC, PHX all won today. That's helpful. Warriors were undone by one Royce O'Neale.
Just curious. If the Jazz have the Wolves pick and their own in the lottery, I'm guessing the actual ping pong balls (heck, do they even use ping pong balls still) still have the Jazz and Wolves logo on them, so that in theory the Jazz could win the #1 and #2 pick. It's not like they get combined into one pick or there's a rule they can only get a single top 4 pick right?

I'm trying not to be bummed out by anything this season as a lot of it is gravy but I can't help feeling we end up with like the 14th and 17th pick and the guys I truly love end up going top 13... I suppose if our pick was in the 17 spot thats okay cuz it means we made the playoffs and had a winning season but man it would be nice to have like a 10-15% chance and Wemby/Scoot and a better chance at landing the dudes we need.
Yeah I am afraid we are heading to worst case scenario land. Mid-teens or low-20's picks, nothing we can really send out for substantially better assets, and no good way to move up appreciably. It has been a fun season so far, no doubt,, but at what cost in the long run?

I think both the Utah and Minny picks land in the teens... which I would not have expected the Minny pick to get there... I thought worst case we were a 35 win team and would land like the 9th pick though. Ainge hasn't had a ton of success drafting in the mid first round... so maybe he is due.
Gamblers falacy, but I share that hope. I really hope he has an ace up his sleeve in terms of the trade deadline, maybe he bundles some stuff to get us a key player, or a better draft pick, who knows? I hope he can work his magic, but I am not banking on it. Really just trying to enjoy the ride while it lasts and hoping against hope that Lauri makes another step-change after the ASB and shows he is meant to be mentioned in the same breath as the league elites. That is really our best hope. That Ainge already worked his magic, but we have to wait for it to gestate and become the #1 we really need for the long run.
We would be hoping to draft someone 3/4 as good as Lauri with a top-10 pick if he didn’t emerge like he has.

100% maybe he has learned from his past few misses. We should be able to move up this draft if we want to... hopefully the cost isn't bonkers.
