Do the Stars then all get promoted to the Jazz?
Then Homeytennis is is like "Look at Me! I'm the captain now!"

There is real value in a pick swap between the Clippers pick and the Brooklyn/Philly pick. I think OKC has first dibs on that pick so I am not sure how that works. Turning a 25 to a 16 in this draft would be fantastic!I think if Mike goes to the Clips its because DA either loves Kennard (maybe he thinks there is more there) or got a first. If I squint I can see a Kennard/Wall/Coffey deal with a 1st round pick swap this year and some other seconds. It also might mean we found something for Malik and maybe shopped Coffey for something... like could you route Coffey to Phoenix with Vando for Crowder (Crowder goes elsewhere) and maybe a protected first?
I think I'm seeing enough motivation and pieces there but its kinda a bunch of moving parts.
If we wanted cap space and we wanted to suck (I am not sure we want either but I also wouldn't think we would want THT so...). I think Boston and other stuff could certainly get worked in there. The second year on Conley's deal has seemed to be a bit of a millstone.Really? That would stink IMO. You'd HAVE to throw in LK to make that even taste good at all, and I'd even want Brandon Boston along with Kennard and whatever crap vet salary filler along with the swap.
No battle.
Yeah... it kinda protects it from getting too great but even if you jump from 27 to 20/21 its meaningful imo. OKC has the right to swap picks... so if Clips tanked to below where the Thunder are we would then swap picks with the Thunder. Either way I think you are looking at moving up at least 5 spots. Maybe more like 8 or 9 as Philly is rolling right now and Clips may stay in their current place. There is real value in a pick swap between the Clippers pick and the Brooklyn/Philly pick. That has to be a first.Does Olynyk for Robinson get us a second rounder? I’d make them eat Gay in the deal. Then move Beasley to wherever you can get a first. And Vando.
And then do that Clippers deal.
Olynyx for Robinson gets us a first at minimum. Robinson is a highly negative contract.Does Olynyk for Robinson get us a second rounder? I’d make them eat Gay in the deal. Then move Beasley to wherever you can get a first. And Vando.

If you did the clippers deal we are like 1.5 games out of the 8th spot. It would likely send us spiraling a bit. IF we did not spiral it is because Collin or NAW or THT emerged as a viable starting option... so kind of a win win.
I’m a big Sexton fan and agree he’s much better than most give him credit for.Sexton has averaged 17/5/2 on 55/39/87 shooting in 10 games as a starter this year. I think he is more than capable of being the starting PG when the time comes.

I think in the long term the Jazz will focus heavily on positional size in the starting lineup and will want a bigger point guard. He will definitely work in the short term if Mike is traded.
Disagree on Mike. I think we'd slide pretty hard. We are like 4-6 I believe with Sexton as a starter... one of the wins was the miracle GS game. I think NAW was on fire during that stretch so we may not have felt the full brunt of the injury. With the way Mike is currently playing his loss will be felt. Dev time for those guys is important so I'd agree there... and if we didn't fall off we will have learned something.I honestly don’t think we drop much if Conley is traded. But I think the increased opportunity for Sexton/NAW/THT/Ochai is more important than whatever development gains we have from Conley being around and the W/L is the least important factor.
NAW has actually been a pleasant surprise this year, I wish he wasn’t getting squeezed out. He’s kinda like Niang 2.0 but we need to seize the opportunity to get him on a long term allow money deal.

I don't think NAW is quite as good of a shooter as his percentages have been thus far but agree we should lock him up and it would be good to kick the tires a bit more. He could be a solid long term value play.
