Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

Either we try to get in players to evaluate (my preferred option) or then just ship out pieces for assets that dont lose value (hopefully even gain it). And I'm like 90% sure thats what DA will do, as coming into the season he said the first priority is to evaluate everyone. Now the next priority is on, and that is building up and around what we have.

Other tidbits from TJ's article:
• Jazz aren't going to trade players just to trade them, we're looking for good deals.
• Mike Conley is fine staying and only wants to be traded to a contender.

Imagine, if you can, a world wherein we had collected multiple seconds between the THT and Bojan trades, making today’s reports completely meaningless.
I’m replaying THT clips in my head as “Imagine” plays in the background… single tear ran down my cheek.

I'm fairly certain that they are just feeding him the deals they aren't even considering. They would keep mum on the stuff that has a chance.
Or fallback deals… like those deals are on the table if nothing else comes through.

Winslow and 2nds for JV is just doing a trade for doing a trade sake.
I am not the #1 Vando fan. I don't think you "need" to trade him but I do think his value is highest right now. It doesn't likely decline either. I think I'd be more intrigued to see Winslow than Vando at this point... the seconds are fine too. I'd do it if nothing else came around. If it makes Dame happy I'm okay with that little side benefit.

One thing on the potential Clips deal... I don't want Kennard. I get he's a great shooter... I just think he may have some injury issues that turn his contract negative. I don't see that as a big plus value. If we did a Mike deal he almost has to be included and that is fine I guess... but I'd almost rather just try and get all expiring contracts and go the cap space route.

Give me some young talent if we're sending him there.

Boston or Preston with expiring contracts and a pick swap with the Philly pick this year is what would get it done for me. If they want to drop some seconds in I will take that too.

They aren't going to keep Hart anyway. I'd be insistant on that deal. I would push hard for Vando + Gay for Hart. Even saves Portland money. I might even dig through the couch cushions for a second round pick if pressed.

I’m fine with that deal as well. Would prefer it come in combo with other deals that allow us to get to cap space if we could. Just dumping Gays salary doesn’t do a ton to get us there but it does get him off the roster. I’d rather buyout or waive Rudy than give away value in a trade… either way though Hart for Gay and Vando is great so I’d do it.

lol. the first is classic TJ - that's his idea of "insider" information. Ainge is looking for good deals??? No effing way. Can't be. I would have assumed, until TJ came through with this info, that Ainge is just fine with getting fleeced at the deadline.

After the Bojan / KO trade you never know
