Lakers closing the game with vando.
Vando just forced the mavs into a turnover when mavs were down 3 with the ball with 15 seconds left.
Lakers gonna win. Which is good for the minny pick!

The idea of entitled minutes is dumb. Let Hardy play who he wants depending on game situation.

Sure. I agree clarksons minutes shouldn’t be guaranteed. Especially when he sucks as bad as he did last night.
Sadly they are though.
Probably should get the minutes when they play great though like kessler did.

You are oddly sensitive to me wanting to watch kessler play more basketball.
(Couldnt quote for some reason. I think my ipad is too old and on the way out. Its like 8 years old)

Everybody sucked in the 1st half then the starters turned it around in the 2nd half. Clarkson made some key assist. We erased that 10pt lead in 8mins. scored 30-14 in that 3Q. In the 4th the last 2 crucial plays for lauri was executed by him. If you just look at stats and highlight replays sure he sucked but it doesn't tell everything.

As for Kessler his 27 minutes was fine . It's just the spurs. Nobody played over 33mins

I saw the first sentence and stopped reading. I dont care if he was badly outplayed. He has earned the right to play 30 plus minutes per game by this point. He is by far our best center. This season is supossed to be all about development and seeing what we have in the young guys. Wins and losses dont really matter.

In summary, idgaf what is going on in the game. If kessler isnt hurt and isnt fouled out then he should never get less that 30 minutes in a game the rest of the season.

By the way, lauri sucked for much of the game too. So did clarkson. (He sucked basically the entire game). They both played over 30 minutes.

Anyways dont give me this he was badly outplayed crap. He was 4-6 from the field (2nd on the team) with 12 rebounds (led the team) and 5 blocks! (led the team) and a plus 10 in plus minus for the game. (3rd on the team) Zero turnovers (led the team). 1 foul. Even had a couple assists. He played quite good.

Hardy said why he went for the smaller ball in the postgame interview. Kessler wasnt benched really, but the triple tower wasnt working because they were moving off the ball and passing so much. Hardy wanted to speed up pace and transition while being faster to switch on defense. Also its worthwhile noting that KO lost way more minutes than Kessler due to that change and even Lauri played less minutes than he averages.

Remember all the coaches we have had who stick with the exact lineups, rotations and minute distributions game to game without adjusting to the opponent? Hardy adjusts.

Also wins and losses dont really matter to you. The team instead is doing their absolute best to win every game.

Fish doesn't care. He only cares if Walker gets 30 minutes because the 3 minute difference between 27 and 30 is life-changing

If they are doing thier best to win and they care about winning then it would make sense to play the best players the most. Especially when they are playing fantastic. Kessler played amazing. Not ok. Not good. He was fantastic. And he is by far our best center.

(Tried to quote hermanG but either the app isnt working right or my ipad isnt)

Clarkson on the other hand played like total crap. Stayed on the court all game doe.

Well Hardys adjustments turned a 14 point deficit to 16 point victory so...

Besides I was not arguing Kessler performance or time. Just told you why Hardy cut all bigs minutes.

You should apply to be a NBA coach

Vando now with 15 points (6-7 shooting) and 15 rebounds and a team high +14.

We honestly should have tried to keep him or at least get a better offer for all that we traded away.

All these idiots that wanted Vando traded in a year or two will be whining about how Danny traded him and how dumb it was. For an entire month I was leading the charge for keeping him. I’ll be proven right soon enough.

I was at the game Saturday. Clarkson was not only passive during the game, he was also very distant to his teammates when on the bench. Has he checked out? I just cannot see him wanting to come back next year unless he gets way overpaid. Its a shame since he is a good player.

He's been showing a lot of frustration lately. Hard to tell why exactly but part of it seems to be his own bad play. He has really developed a heads-down bull-rushing mentality and forces his way into the lane regardless of anyone else around him. Seems he isn't looking for his teammates much any more, and every time he gets stuck or makes a bad pass, which seems more often than not recently, he throws his hands up and shakes his head and just gets lost in the next play. He is letting all this get to him and get in his head. Where is the coach in all this? I would expect to see Hardy working with him to get him past this, but it seems like they don't interact much. I wonder if they shopped him harder than we know and he knows it and is showing his frustration, but no matter what happened he needs to get out of his own head and just play the way he was earlier, more within the flow of the game.

The Conley effect maybe? Then we traded Beasley and vando who where close to him. He does look a lot frustrated recently

Werent there some reports a while ago that we are looking to offer him 12-14M range and backup role?

That would get me down if I worked so hard for my first starter bag and wanted to stay and then I hear I wont be getting it here.

Hardy didnt cut all the bigs minutes in this game though. Gay played more minutes than normal. And he shot worse than kessler (4-12 and 0-3) rebounded worse, had a worse plus minus, zero assists, zero steals, zero blocks.
Meanwhile kessler was amazing.
