That’s the equivalent of eights 1sts, most of them unprotected.

I think it’s worth thinking about but nah.

Yeah...that was just something one of the articles threw out there. I'm sure the Jazz's actual proposal would be different. Either way, it would take a boatload of assets to acquire someone of Luka's stature.

Definitely give up Kessler in a luka trade. I LOVE Kessler but he can also be schemed off the floor a bit when a team goes with true 5 out lineup.
However I wouldn't give up Kessler, Sexton, Ochai and 5 firsts. That is too much imo. And I LOVE luka and think we should try hard to get him.

I just saw this after my post. We are on the same page completely

I actually think we might have enough young players that we wouldn't have to give up Kessler. Maybe something like Sexton, Ochai, one of the rookies we draft this year and a bunch of future first round picks. Maybe THT would even be someone the Mavs would be interested in.

If you are getting Luka you want to play him with Walker and Lauri. I think a **** ton of firsts would be the best offer on the board.

Luka is so good but man… dude needs to get in shape and iron some kinks out. Not sure I’d enjoy watching him all that much… unless of course we are winning a TON.

As I’ve been saying, I firmly believe Luka has been Ainge’s target all along and that’s how he convinced Smith to pull the trigger on the rebuild.

Twitter is going to be rough with three white All-Stars playing in Utah.

Lauri and Kessler would compliment Luka's game so damn well...I'm honestly not sure there's another player in the entire league that would be a better fit next to Luka than Lauri.

Luka's nonstop crying to the refs would be hard to watch, but I could put up with it in order to compete for a championship.

Plus he would cry to the refs less cause we would always have the lead and be winning all teh gamez. No need to complain when your team is undefeated and winning all teh chipz

On ESPN700 today, @Tony Jones said the Jazz front office views the 2024 draft class as being very weak, so they don't see a reason to be bad enough to try and keep their draft pick. Say's they will make a real effort to significantly improve over the next year.
I dont think it matters how they view it or what they try to do or not to do. I think we will be too good to keep our pick regardless. This season was crazy. We were beating good teams on the regular after trading our entire starting lineup from the year before. Didn't seem to matter who played or who we were playing. We were winning or losing a tight game that we were close to winning. Hardy is magic apparently.

So which one was the lie @HermanG

Also said they would consider dame if he became available but might not get wild since he’s old.

And to be fair to @HermanG it may not have been a lie… but it proves my larger point that when the GM speaks about what they are planning to do… don’t take it at face value.
