I will say I greatly overestimated how much I would enjoy the non-Gobert players. Hopefully they figure it out, but I'm not longer invested in the Wolves.

Wolves got the 2nd ranked defense in the league when Rudy plays.

He is certainly not the one that is soft. The guy holding his hips on offense when the play doesnt involve him is the soft one.

TBH, the Wolves should try and flip Towns. They don’t have the playmakers/shooters to be effective. Ant is a nice wing but he isn’t KD or Lebron. We have arguably 3 guards better than DLol. If they could flip the crybaby Towns into a few guards/wings that can create and shoot, then they can use Gobert like we used him. Minny should try and become the Magic with Dwight and less like the Spurs in the late 90s. Especially since Towns isn’t Duncan or Robinson.

I think they should try to flip both Towns and ANT. ANT has no place on an NBA team standing around pouting. Of course, at this point they would be selling low on both of them. They are really between a rock and a hard place. Hard to see them climbing out of this any time soon. They are just so dysfunctional. Sad for Rudy, and for his sake I hope they turn it around. But happy for us and for our sake I hope they keep falling into the basement and give us the #1 pick. If I had to weigh the 2, I would put it at 70/30 for the top pick (ok, maybe 80/20....ok fine, 90/10......ugh, FINE, 99/1, but that's my final offer!). But I do hope Rudy gets to play on a team that gives him a shot at at ring at some point. Hell that might be him coming back to us on a value contract later in his career after we have won a couple rings to help us get our 3rd. Bring back him and Joe Ingles and get them rings. That would be a dream come true for the team and our legacy.

So 2/3 starters and another rotation player all playing on teams near the top of the league netted us a protected first. Yikes.
