Potential Trade Targets

What about a trade for Brogdon and Grant for say Collins and filler? Maybe Clarkson and or a 3rd team? I know Grant has an insanely long contract but he is just what we need next to Lauri

Brogdon, George, Dunn
Agbaji, Sexton,
Grant, Fontecchio
Markkanen, Olynyk, Hendricks,
Kessler, Yurtseven

Who are some trade targets you’d be interested in where we would be making moves towards winning more.

Some of the rumored available players who fit this criteria:

Dejounte Murray
Zach LaVine
DeMar DeRozan
Pascal Siakam

DeRozan would be awesome but he is an expiring contract same with Siakam. LaVine would be interesting at a super low cost.

Dejounte is my favorite potential trade I think. He’s locked in for 3+1 years plus he has a great relationship with Hardy due to their time in San Antonio together.

Also, what kind of package would you be willing to trade for any of these guys?

Clarkson + a first + a swap for Dejounte?
You don’t get better by getting better. Sometimes you get better by tearing it down

I'm still really interested in Deni Avdija as well. Tyus and Deni for picks and stuff (maybe we convince them to take Collins cuz their cap space is meaningless... a fan can hope).
Wiz coach is still criminally underrating him and putting him under the bus on several occasions. Kinda similar to the whole Silas/Sengun fiasco. He's still getting minutes but the way he's been utilized you just know that the coach doesn't trust him. I bet Deni can flirt with triple double on a night basis when he's used the right way by an actual competent coach.

It kinda makes me upset we didn't go for Sengun when Silas was still in charge. And now the guy’s playing like a baby Jokic under Udoka and joins the elite group of Haliburton/SGA as one of the future superstars in the making. It kind of serves as reminders for teams that need to pull the trigger before big time talents make their final jump into stardom. No way in hell Clippers/Kings would still trade SGA/Hali if they knew what they had.

That's not a red flag lol.

Tatum, kawhi, LeBron, Steph, Gianni's, Luka, jokic etc etc etc are all better with the ball in their hands.

Can't do much without the ball. Hard to put up points, assists, rebounds, steals, blocks, etc without touching the ball
You know what I meant.

To be a good player in this league, you need to be able to be effective off the ball as well because that's where teams will push you. Of the people you mentioned, many are great off the ball – hell, Steph is one of the most dangerous players in the League without the ball in his hands.

Then there are the guys who start standing around and clapping for the ball if they're facing an overplaying defense. They're the "I'm better with the ball in my hands" people. For 95% of his NBA career, Sexton has been like that. So has Clarkson.

Luka is like that, Trae is like that, Harden is like that, LaVine is like that. And yes, Murray is like that. If you insert those guys into your offense, you're getting two sides of the coin. They spring to life when they get to dominate the rock and look like zombies if they don't.

Ehm..... you try to get away by throwing a lot of **** around that you think people wont verify by going through the tape... but in 2024 we dont have to.

DJM ranks 9th in the NBA in distance travelled on offense according to Second Spectrum. And the only 3 PGs in the list ahead of him (Brunson, Maxey, Cade) average nearly 100 more ball possession minutes between them. Out of those four guys, DJM is the only one who is top 5 also in distance travelled on defense, while Maxey is the only one even in the top 10 on the other side of the court.

Out of the top 10 "distance traveled" guys, only the off ball demon Max Strus and Franz Wagner beat him clearly in average speed of travel. Maxey and Mikal Bridges (also top 10 in total distance) are pretty much tied with DJM.

But yeah sure.... he just stands there clapping his hands.

I guess two things can be true. He can sit around and then move when it's way too late

Thats the third time in this thread alone where you reply to me with your contrarian act while completely whiffing on the point.

Your buddy TU made the argument that he is like Harden, Luka or Young and just stands and spectates without the ball on offense. That was a dumb claim which was easy to prove wrong even without using the crappy comps he provided. I used the most active and mobile players in the NBA instead, as he is on that list. Then you post some single defensive play lowlight to counter 32 games worth of tracking stats, when we werent even discussing defense?

Its tiresome to have to spell stuff to you all the time. Either be quiet or play nice in the playpen and one day you might get promoted to the kids table.

Brother I have TU on ignore. I dont even read most of his post.

I just gave you an example of him standing around. Like I said, multiple things can be true. You are providing data that proves nothing. I'm providing actual gameplay. You can move around a lot and still sit around and ball watch when it matters most.

a one play sample size means nothing. Actual data over a large sample size with peer comparisons does provide something however. You are just doing your thing tho so I get it.

Man… I’m starting to talk myself into Zach Lavine… not all the way… but I feel it coming on…

I know he’s fully canceled but queue the R Kelly…

“My minds telling me no… but my body… my bodyyyyyyyyy’s telling me yeah”

Also he missed my point again despite me explaining it. I was never talking about his defense... which his "actual gametape" was about.

I'd much rather reply to you and discuss with you, since the playpen is so far from the grown ups table that apparently they cant hear us well.
