What's The Last Movie You’ve Seen?

Just went to see the new Sherlock Holmes. I liked it for the most part. The worst things about it were the ending (deus ex machina on a grand scale, and more than a little cheesy, stupid, and contrived), and Prof Moriarity's motives. He be all about da benjamins, yo. Most brilliant mind the world has ever known just wants to get a little more rich than he was before, through the most complicated plan anyone could possibly conceive and/or pull off.

Yeah.

But it was still a fun night at the movies, which is all that really matters in the end anyway. It helps that after 20 years the missus still lets me feel her boobs in darkened theaters.
I would agree the ending that depicts him as pretty much doing it all for the money was a let down in what was other wise a pretty good movie. Maybe they wanted to keep it light hearted but I was expecting it to be to start a Europe war and increasing his funds to make it a global domination thing.

Contraband...taut...entertaining...a 7/10, maybe 8/10 for this 'what you see is what you get' genre.

I'd still rank Die Hard as the best well acted, well done, action movie of all-time. Or one of them at least. The movie is ****ing perfect.

That is what I was hoping for too, but when it just came down to the money, it was a let down. Otherwise I really liked it. I thought it was acted well and the story line was tight and clear. I also liked that they cleaned up the dialogue, not as in it was dirty words, but that they made the speaking more clear and easier to understand. The first movie Downey did a lot of mumbling. Even though the very end was cheesy on a whole other level it still cracked me up.

Came across Stone on Netflix with Edward Norton, De Niro, and Milan Jovovich. I hadn't heard of it, but really enjoy Norton's other films - this was a complete black hole that just sucked any positive vibes I had prior to starting it. It's not really dark, but just depressing and a bit weird. Worst film I've seen in a while.

I don't know what happened with Norton, but he has made some terrible decisions in regards to movies lately. Tremendous actor, but just doing it for me recently.

Took the wife out for a date night and seen...
Contraband

I would suggest this movie to anyone... My wife said she has anexity the entire movie and I would agree. Good flick. Not sure what the reviews said but a great movie in my opinion.

I've heard nothing but good things about contraband.

We rented a couple for a movie night with the kids:

About what you'd expect.

This one was good.
My kids (ages 7 and 4) like Dolphin Tale better than Mr. Popper's Penguins.

Oof. Do you have a pair?

Saw The Descendants over the weekend. Excellent, excellent film.

My movies of the year would be:

1. The Descendants
2. Drive
3. Moneyball
4. Warrior
5. Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy
6. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
1,021. Tree of Life

I haven't seen much else beyond this so for The Artist and anything else I left off, I apologize.
