Potential Trade Targets

Not sure what the details of the trade would be. You wouldnt have to match dollar for dollar. The Jazz have plenty of expendable players.

IT's massive value and D'Lo is not a negative value player despite what LA media might want you to think. They just like scapegoating. Not saying he is great or that I would want to plan to keep him long-term, but there wouldnt be any issue trading him as an expiring next year and he would actively make the team better this season and next.
Dlo seems to wear like a boat for every franchise that gets him. The greatest days are the day he gets aquired and the day he eventually gets traded.

I would listen to the deal where we part with Clarkson for the rest of the Lakers pick AND that Dallas pick though.

OBPM is usually a pretty good indicator of a player being good at offense for you team.

D'Lo has been at or above 2.0 for the last 6 seasons. He's not some scrub. He's not a great winning player if you want to do deep playoff runs, but the Jazz arent there yet.

Odds are they combine picks to move up and trade other picks for future picks. Would you mind clarifying how Orlando is wasting players?
How many teams are trading future picks for picks in the 24 draft? Anyone who might (contenders needing to fill a slot for cheap) don't really have many picks to give.

This draft isn't deep either. Good luck trading up.

He's just gone to franchises that were in stages were they wanted to win a ring, or felt like they had to win a ring.

D'Lo isnt that guy. If Utah was competing for a ring I'd say no.

They arent. They are competing for a play in spot and D'Lo is perfect for that.

You can easily reverse this ridiculous narrative that he is somehow a negative value player on his contract.

Removing the protections is a win. Jordan goes to where he will be loved and can get a lot more market money, he can probably help the locker room. Trade Dlo in year for a pick. Nice

Listening to Tampering Pod... feel like we are Lakers main way to offload Russell by removing the protections on the pick they owe us. They don't have the excess assets to just send so sending that might be their only hope.
The second year in a row that were the Lakers’ main way to offload Russell.

But I’d definitely do the Elizah Huge trade. We would definitely be juicing DLo’s numbers and someone will definitely have interest in him next season for at least a modicum of returnable value, which is just gravy. It’s like doing the LaVine trade but with less money, less years, and more interest around to league to move the guy. I’m on board if it returns us no ‘27 Laker protections and another pick.

And every team who has traded D'Lo has gotten a nice package in return for him because he played well there.

The Warriors traded him and got pieces back to win a ring. The Wolves traded him and now look like they can contend for a ring. The Lakers traded for him and hell, they got to the Western Conference Finals.

The Lakers are just being the Lakers, a badly run organization who cant manage value.

The Hawks have no picks for a long time. The Jazz could probably throw two immediate picks + swap to get the Lakers 2009. Not that I would do it..but you know Ainge is Ainge and can't help himself.
