It's happened repeatedly. But if everyone just stopped engaging it would go a long way to cleaning up the forum. Lately with the surge of activity and a few "new" posters in GD it's gotten worse again since they haven't learned to just shut them out. So like 2/3 of the responses are to the trolls' ******** which ****s up the forum for everyone else.
