You’re right. Ukraine should give up and allow Russia to take some land and then in a couple years we can do this all over again. Very reasonable.

When building something complicated, you first lay the groundwork. Zelensky is refusing the groundwork by using the excuse that the end structure isn't completed to his liking.

Marco Rubio gave a great interview that not only explained the events of that day, but also put the events in the context of the previous 10 days. The rough framework for security agreements were there in the deal. The goal was to give the United States an economic interest and an obligation to protect that economic interest. That is in the deal the Ukrainian legislature ratified, and Zelensky won't sign it. In short, you don't know what you are talking about.

“I’m not going to provide security guarantees beyond very much,” Mr. Trump said during his first cabinet meeting on Wednesday. “We’re going to have Europe do that.”

As I've said to many who, like you, are saying this was bad for Ukraine: you no longer need to worry about the deal and Ukraine can continue having their people killed in the war against Putin. You got what you wanted.

Why would I take your word for it? When has Trump succeeded at this level? Never. He always fails. You’re just used to ignoring it and moving on. You can’t be trusted, unfortunately, and he is a deal killer.

Yeah, your Monday Morninging this whole thing is adorable. Nothing changes the fact that his plan failed, Zelenskyy leaves with leverage and allies intact, well maybe not us - which aligns us with Putin, again.

So how are we winning again??
