The Non-Jazz NBA Thread in the Jazz Section

Jack Nicklaus is clearly the better player over his career. The US Amateurs he won, in addition to the staggering amount of times he came 2nd and 3rd in majors is unmatched. Now if Tiger hadn't got caught up taking so much HGH and got so sidetracked banging 500 random hos he most likely would've passed him but ...

Agree for the most part tho
The Tiger crowd often points to the fact that Nicklaus played a lighter load of tournaments and focused more exclusively on the majors. Tiger has 82 PGA Tournament victories to Jack's 73.

But, yeah, there's not a more dramatically clear example of an athlete's career getting abbreviated by injuries that are his fault (not the sports') than Tiger's.

such a shame saw him in person a few times just before his fall from grace. He was so dominant for the best part of a decade It still beggars belief that there isn't a bigger shadow of using PEDs over him when his body changed so dramatically over such a short period of time

Embiid is not a PF posing as a center. It's really hard to have an intelligent conversation when you're trying so hard to confirm whatever bias you have.
Embiid is absolutely a PF posing as center. Just look at how many paint touches he has. On a per game basis, only 4.8 out of his 71 touches in total were in the paint. That's good for 6% of his total offense. And that's coming from his prime MVP season. If you watch his game just a bit closer he plays nothing like a center. More like a Dirk nowitzki type who initiates offense from the elbow or even out on the perimeter.

And likewise it's extremely difficult to have an intelligent conversation when you are just nitpicking some of the most random things I said (that was true btw) then ignore everything else I said including my main argument.

Does embiid stay away from the paint on defense though? Since we are talking about jokic offense then the discussion would be concerning dudes who guard him.

Yeah he's a 5 on defense but we are talking about offensive skillset though. And I do believe sixers had the right idea when they signed Horford but they pivoted way too fast and didn't really give enough time for the twin tower to mesh. It was like us getting rid of Mike after his first season. And its not like Horford was bad for them either. Not having an “Aaron Gordon” burnt Embiid and now his leges are totally cooked.
