Court: California gay marriage ban is unconstitutional

Aw, so if you think religion is wrong, then you must be right and all religion is wrong.

And people get hateful at me for thinking I am right...

I think monotheism is one of the worst inventions of mankind. By definition it refutes any thinking that anyone who does not follow that specific deity, and the codes that the followers of said deity created. Moral codes are not exclusive to monotheism, nor were they invented by creators of monotheism. They are also not inherently better, since all moral code is relative. All innovations and societal advances considered positive are not independent of monotheism and could have occurred without monotheism, and the restrictiveness that the nature of that type of religion provides.

But my thoughts of religion aren't really important when discussing a civil rights manner. I prefer to stick to relevant arguments.

You have to know your audience.
When you go right at people with "homosexuality destroys nations", you tend to get people on the defensive and offensive.
You also have to know that this has been hashed, and rehashed so many times there will not really be anything useful to come from it.
There is no way you will change Numberica's mind about... well, anything. There is no way you can change the mind of GVC, especially on this issue.
But, if you approach your stance on this issue in a less straightforward and pushy way, you would be able to have a decent discussion with them and others... if that's what you want.

This is why I don't agree with your approach, but that's just me.

I'm not sure you really wanted a discussion as much as an I'm right, no I'm right ping pong match.

By the way, it's more effective to take it all back to the individual.
Next time maybe try it this way.

"Homosexuality destroys individuals, which destroy families, which destroys nations, which destroys the world."

Something like that might get you the fight you are looking for escalated to level 10, instead of the 5 it started at.

I did'nt want anything. Just wanted to say what I said, every bit of it. I knew people would jump on me. It's fine.
I'm not looking for a discussion. I am not trying to convert anyone.

It's my way. I say things straight up and I say it strongly. I don't walk around trying not to offend anyone. I don't have time for that.

I cannot offend anyone. They can only decide to get offended and blame me for it.

Sour grapes. It's not my fault you're a ****ing moron.

And, I change my mind when presented with good arguments. Craig has made assertions without providing any justification whatsoever. Why believe anything if you don't have a reason for doing so?

Saying something strongly doesn't make what you're saying right. I'm not offended in the least, only curious why you make such strong statements with absolutely no justification.

I did'dnt say that that saying something strongly makes me right. i only said that it is the way I say things.
I have a lot of justification, but I don't feel like telling you or having to write it all out.

I know how these things go. You are trying to goad me into saying something that you can twist or badmouth. I won't fall for it.

I eat Sour grapes. It's my moms fault I'm a blithering moran.

You brush with Sensodyne?
Never said I wanted to change your mind, just letting him know he wouldn't change yours.
I did mention if he approached it different he could have a decent conversation on the topic with you.

You think you are open to change your mind when presented with good arguments, the only problem is the only good arguments are yours.
He didn't say he had no reason, just stated what he wanted to state and later said he didn't feel like telling you why.
Read much?

There, feel better. You wanted name calling right? Oh, and I fixed your quote.

Hardly. Can you provide a single example of me refusing to concede a point when presented with an argument that clearly refuted an argument I made?

I still dont get it! when is it okay to say gay and when not.
cus all it gets me is a warning.

Discussing it is okay. Using it in a defamatory manner is not okay. I would run this through google translate into armenian so you could understand, but I'm just too lazy.

Everyone has different opinions on how this world should be. Get over it. I'm sure everyone will fight on abortion and taxes too.

The scary world would be us all thinking and believing the same.

I will go ahead and tell you one reason why I oppose the gay agenda (yes, I know people will hate me for this...obviously, I dont care)

It doesn stop at gay marriage. Once gay marriage is in place, then it is forced on everyone. It is mandated to be taught in schools (already happens in CA), then churches are forced to perform gay marriages (already being tried in some places), and then they go after Mormon temples, trying to get them shut down when the church says no to performing gay marriages.

That's just a taste. There is much more.

Point 1 is actually a legitimate point. Shouldn't really be an issue in the schools, though. I've read that groups want to force teaching that it's okay, but I'm not down with that.
Point 2 won't happen. Can't force a religious entity to perform ceremonies. Need to show me initiatives where it's being tried.
Point 3 won't happen for the same reasons.

2 and 3 are being done. They have already tried to force the army chaplains to perform gay marriages.

Gay leaders have said on many occasions that forcing complete acceptance is exactly what they want. I don't have the links, but they have already pressured churches to perform ceremonies and I did see a gay leader state that they want to force Mormon temples to also.

Just what I have seen and read.

2. No one, to my knowledge, has "forced" army chaplains to perform same-sex marriages. Back in September, the Pentagon made the decision to "permit" military Chaplains to perform same-sex marriages if such marriages are legal in the states they are being performed AND if those ceremonies are in line with the chaplains personal and religious beliefs. In other words, chaplains are no longer forced not to perform same-sex marriages, but can choose not to if they disagree with them.

3. Is not happening. Will not happen. Can you provide a single example of a church being forced by the governemnt to perform a religious ceremony against their will?

And, none of these false concerns address your initial contention that same-sex marriages destroy nations. meh.

I stated what I believe. I said it pretty clearly.
I know a lot of you will hate me for it. But what is the point?
You don't know me. You have never met me, and you never will. So who cares?

Me answering your questions won't help any.
