So @Elizah Huge and I have someone (not Tony) who told us that if Ace was gone it would have been Fears. So wasn't a full smokescreen. I think disguising their interest in Ace/Kon worked to their advantage though. Danny really liked Fears supposedly.
 
Kind of feel like a sucker, but I’m surprised how easy it was to get me excited about the team again last night.

There is no need to ‘tank’ there is a severe need for a full fledged youth movement. Trade most of the veterans, get the kids playing time, and let them try their hardest to win. In this West we should still be plenty bad enough to keep the pick. The blueprint for what would be considered a successful season next year seems so obvious that I’ll be pretty disappointed if any other route is taken.

Maybe that person go smoke screened as well. Sorry, I'm just not at all enthused by the million bigmikes that pop up during this time of year lol.

I would have for sure preferred Kon over Fears and probably Ace I think.

The thing that sucks is your plan is the obvious one meaning it's obvious to the other NBA teams as well and they will probably low ball us for sexton, Clarkson, Collins, and lauri.

Even with minimal return it’s worth it to move those guys and free up the playing time/be worse.

I would hold onto Lauri unless there was an excellent offer out there. I don’t see him alone elevating this team of kids out of the bottom of the standings

Agree on the sources this time of year. Its all pretend anyway now and easy to make a call that can never be proven wrong but I cant imagine them passing on Tre honestly. Just dont buy it.

I get it. I was at Best Buy and the tech had just helped DA with his laptop. He actually kept all the passwords and forwarded some internal emails to me.

JK... I believe the guy sending me the stuff has the connection... I will have a pretty concrete way to verify that what he says is true in the next 3 or so weeks.

With regard to Fears... Tony did say Danny REALLY likes him. Maybe he was part of the ruse.
 
Last night did go really well for us. Offload JC, JC, Sexton and we have no issue tanking. Everyone in the West is now trying or has no incentive to tank. Wiz are even more competent in a weak *** division. Hornets have some real holes but took a more NBA ready guy (if there is such a thing). Tank competition may never have been this low in a good draft. Who's going 5th next year?

Yeah who knows. This FO may have been pulling a fast one and sending out mixed messages. It would be weird if they misled the guy that was feeding me info because he is not a media person at all. Like I said... I will be able to vet out how reliable this person is in the next few weeks.

I also think some of the media folks were fed Nique Clifford as the target at 21. I heard that name from like 3-4 different writers/people. This front office may get off on the art of illusion lol.
