Ace Bailey ROY watch

Much has been made of Ace’s extremely low FT rate being a potentially serious issue. However, being great at getting a shot off through evasiveness is a more reliable way to get buckets when refs start swallowing their whistles more in crunch time and the playoffs.

There are more FT's and fouls in the playoffs. You may not get the same amount ticky tack and BS fouls, but the ability to attack, be physical, and draw contact is important as ever.

It's getting very quiet in here...

I guess Ace Bailey All-Rookie Team watch has been called off as well.

A few games left tonight before it’s official, but so far Ace scored the second most points out of any rookies over the last 7 days, just behind Kon Knueppel.

He's also 3-17 from the perimeter in his last five games and has shot a grand total of four FT's during that stretch.

Ace has a LONG way to go. It's OK to remain optimistic about his long term, but it's also a fact that his rookie season has been very underwhelming for a #5 pick who was supposed to be able to come right in and make a difference.

Right now he wouldn't go anywhere near the top 5 in a redraft.

You have outdone yourself with this one.

Just repeating what people were saying last summer.

I mean there were suggestions that Ace should have been our #1 offensive option this season. And not because of tanking, but because he was supposed to be so good.

Oh well, I understand it's normal to move the goalposts at this point. As if it was always Ainge's intention to pick a super raw project at #5.

Ace is a nice kid and he may have a bright future, but as a prize for hardcore tanking he's obviously a failure. Not his fault, but at some point there has to be some accountability in the FO.

Me when I make up something so I can whine and complain about it.

Thy perspective promulgates a generalized dissatisfaction with Jazzfanz culture and society, perhaps hinting at a dark metaphysics that surrounds your constitution. Ale is one such medicine that may alleviate the gloom that permeates your being.
